Re: [3.2][RC] Mass Notification

Nice! :)

Just for the case of future development and new ideas. There's already been an extension for this exact purpose with a bit more features: https://github.com/alg5/adminnotificati ... /dev_3.2.x. viewtopic.php?t=2329541

Re: Where is my config.php?

@3Di
Files are not missing, the board is located at the domain root.
There's just an additional index.html that has the priority over index.php due to that server's settings.

Re: Where is my config.php?

Where is your phpBB forum? You should try appending index.php to the URL. I see nothing at: http://mblforum.com/phpbb/ ( those are not phpBB files ) They are indeed phpBB files, these ones . @abrogard As for the error, isn't there a typo in 'abrogard_mblfrum' , especially in the frum part of it?

Re: Where is my config.php?

What the stuff is in phpbb I don't know. I'll delete it all when I get this sorted out. Your board will stop working then. This directory is a part of the board software. In most cases this means that either the username or password in the config file are not inserted correctly, however we have che...

osama_badr, have you checked this file?
LavIgor wrote: Sat Sep 22, 2018 8:11 pm There's also store/install_config.php file.
Make sure that it hasn't been left on your server after your previous installation attempts.

P.S. Backup any files before deletion.

Re: problem while updating from 3.1.1o to 3.2.3

osama_badr, what phpBB package have you downloaded for an update?
You should use full package (not an upgrade version).
There's no 'file differ' option in full package installer.

Re: Warning notifications

what am I missing? if you get a warning and you get a PM telling you so, then you should also get a notification that you got a PM This idea isn't about receiving notifications but about making the life easier to moderators. Currently you cannot issue a warning and stay anonymised to the user. Poss...

Re: User notifications are not working

Yes, I've also experienced this issue on phpbb.com.
But I have email subscriptions too.
And there's another problem: an email is sent after any reply disregarding the fact that I haven't read the certain topic yet.

BTW board notifications on Area 51 work OK.

Re: PHP bbcode

It's not implemented because it's clunky and a bit slow, and it's better implemented as an extension. Why wasn't your extension integrated into phpBB core then (it is in fact just one line, but a helpful one)? Maybe with a config setting for it to be optional (I do not find any reasons for it to be...

JoshyPHP wrote: Tue Jan 17, 2017 4:12 pmPosts used to be stored as HTML and that's not the case anymore. highlight_string() doesn't fit in that workflow.
Why cannot it be applied after posts are fetched from the database before displaying?
Just like quotes as I've said in my previous message.

Re: Incompatible Extensions for 3.2

I think that there's a reason to list compatible extensions instead. Because otherwise any piece of information here can easily become irrelevant and outdated. Or at least please note that extensions can have separate versions for the next branch of phpBB. It seems to me Upload Extensions isn't work...

Re: PHP bbcode

That's not the case anymore and re-implementing this feature on the server was not worth it considering there are better alternatives on the client. But there's no built-in alternative anymore. BTW how to highlight the code here at phpbb.com now? And why was it considered impossible to still...
