Re: Deleting extension files before first disabling it.

Extensions do not replace any core files - they are what they say extensions which means that they extend the functionality of phpBB. Sometimes, while working on the server/forum directory, we delete an extension's I would suggest that if you do not understand how phpBB works that you stop deleting...

Deleting extension files before first disabling it.

I happens! Sometimes, while working on the server/forum directory, we delete an extension's files thinking to disable it as soon as we login in forum. Re: Buttons over text.

Thanks .m. In styles -> prosilver -> theme, I edited the buttons.css (/* Post control buttons section) and under .has-profile .post-buttons, I changed top: 5px to 0px (even 1px was acceptable). That fixed the problem. post-buttons.png @Mick. I will also check with the extension developer, he may hav...

Buttons over text.

I use the "Remove Subject from Replies" extension and the Edit, Delete, Quote and other buttons cover the top part of the text in the post. overlap.jpg It was doing the same in the previous version (3.2.2) and I fixed it. Now that I upgraded to 3.2.5 is doing it again but... I don't remember what I ...

Re: Updating from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 I get a blank screen.

that should work unless there is something different about your hosting server setup. have you checked to see what php version your host is running? if they have updated to php7.3 phpbb will not work and you will need to get it downgraded to php7.2 ... robert They are running 7.2. I also noticed th...

Re: Updating from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 I get a blank screen.

don't use the auto update. do it just like you did the last time. https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3.2/kb/article/updating-32x/ robert Hi Lumpy. I have few modified files (headers in styles, including prosilver) and I hate to do them all-over again. Also, as I said in previous post, I download...

Re: Updating from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 I get a blank screen.

There is a list of 300 errors pretty much all looking like this: ...client denied by server configuration: /home/xxxxxxxxx/public_html/index.php .../403.shtml .../guide .../xmlrpc.php .../403.shtml ...whatever that supposed to mean...

Re: Updating from 3.2.1 to 3.2.2 I get a blank screen.

There we go again! This time upgrading from 3.2.2 to 3.2.5. First I downloaded all files from actual server and a database backup. I installed this on my home server and after everything was working fine I added the two new files and upgraded to 3.2.5. I used auto update and everything worked fine. ...

Permissions.

Sometimes a moderator or admin wants his active group to be as Registered user. His username appears in blue but has access to the private forums viewed by mods/admins. Also, at times we get members (friends) who want access to private forums but do not want to be mods or admins, so we add them to a...

The problem was the extension "Remove Subject from Replies". Modified the code as per the instructions given in the extension's discussion section and everything is fine now.

Re: Text ovrlapping.

Thanks Robert. Your post has been approved.
I added more letters so they reach across the page. Letters are covered (partially) by buttons here. I use Firefox and windows 10.
