Mission accomplished. :D
Well, partially.

It looks like I am going to have to learn how to write XPIs for Mozilla Quantum, and then rewrite this using it as an advisory structure to put it up on the FF addons page because of license issues.

Re: Firefox Quantum Addon for PhpBB codes?

I have been using BBCodeExtra , and I have a few dozen custom tags, both BBCode and HTML, but it does not work with FF 57+ (Quantum), so I am looking for a replacement. Anyone using something for newer versions of Mozilla that they like? I wasn't quite sure where to have it. I could not find a repl...

Re: Removing Smiley Panel from Posting Page for a Specific Style

The Support forum is not the place to ask about editing styles. You should either be asking in Custom Coding, or the support area for your specific style. So I’ve moved it. Thanks. Be aware that modifying the editor.html prevents your user to see those smilies only when creating posts. They can sti...

Re: Removing Smiley Panel from Posting Page for a Specific Style

I have a couple of users who want have a style where there is no Smileys posting panel: And what about the rest of your users? Bad move pampering to the whims of just two users. This is your board and you run it the way you want - if somebody does not like it then they know the alternative. No, I'm...

Re: Removing Smiley Panel from Posting Page for a Specific Style

The Support forum is not the place to ask about editing styles. You should either be asking in Custom Coding, or the support area for your specific style. Is there a way for me to move this to the other forum, or do I have to ask the mods. Can't you activate the "Quick response" setting, there are ...

Removing Smiley Panel from Posting Page for a Specific Style

I have a couple of users who want have a style where there is no Smileys posting panel: smileys.PNG They want the highlighted bit removed. Are there already extant files that do this, or would I have to edit a style. If so, what edits/admin commands would be required? Also, is it spelled smileys, or...

Advanced BBCode Box 3 provides this kind of tables. You can change the borders and colors in your css files only. Just inspect the elements in your browser to find out where.
Thx.

Customizing BBCode Tables.

In the newer versions of phpBB, you can enter tables directly in bbcode using pipe symbols. | Header 1 | Header 2 | |----------|----------| | Cell 1 | Cell 2 | If I do that, I will get a table, with a blue on white title row, and no borders that looks like this: (Image because bbCode tables are not ...

Automatically Resizing a Logo for Rotation

At our board, we have 20 or so forum logos, and we rotate them through a cron job. In phpBB 3.0.x, I could rotate through the images and accommodate their different sizes (generally from 100 to 300 pixels) by simply not specifying the image size, and it would resize automatically. In /styles/prosilv...

Re: Odd Line Wrap Rendering in Long Links

It's because your /styles/prosilver/theme/links.css is modified - compare it (including the comment with spelling mistake an missing punctuation) against the original - it's right there in the first definition already: a { display: inline-block } Thanks. Since I just updated, it should be stock. I ...

Odd Line Wrap Rendering in Long Links

I just upgraded to phbb 3.2, and everything seems to work great, except for a long link (more than one line long) renders funny. Here is the snippett posted here, where it renders fine: At that point, he began leaking to the press, specifically to Business Insider, which wrote a June 4, 2018 story e...
