Re: BBCodeXtra Replacement for Quantum (FF 57+) In Alpha Release

The add-on has been updated.

It now works on content editable elements (on https pages only).

Re: BBCodeXtra Replacement for Quantum (FF 57+) In Alpha Release

Yeah, Firefox screwed up and allowed a cert to expire, deactivating most of their add-ons.

This has happened before, and given FF's reliance on its extensions for its identity, some heads should roll.

Re: BBCodeXtra Replacement for Quantum (FF 57+) In Alpha Release

The addon has been submitted to addons.mozilla.org, and approved.

It was only about a 15 minute turn around, which surprised me.

The link to the addon is here.

The support site is at http://www.stellarparthenon.org/bbcwbx/

Re: BBCodeXtra Replacement for Quantum (FF 57+) In Alpha Release

(I hate case sEnSiTiViTy) It's important - otherwise one couldn't tell office and windows apart from Office and Windows. I am talking in things like variable names. You know: I have spent two hours troubleshooting this because make l ist is not the same as make L ist And yes, I updated the XPI.

Re: BBCodeXtra Replacement for Quantum (FF 57+) In Alpha Release

The health warning though is scaring me. :geek:  Nice job BTW. This is literally my first time coding Javascript, and my first time coding anything but Office Macros and shell scripting in 25 years, so the code is ugly, even by my standards, and I used to program APL. ¯ × ÷ ∘ ∣ ∼ ≠ ≤ ≥ ≬ ⌶ ⋆ ⌾...

Re: BBCodeXtra Replacement for Quantum (FF 57+) In Alpha Release

I have just released what should be my final XPI that I will release on Github . Basically, a bit of testing, and my son getting me the icons he's doing, and it goes into addons.mozilla.org. It appears to be working OK. When it hits AMO, I will announce on a new thread. BTW, there is a support forum...

Re: Any Hints on Embedding a Tweet Storm?

I know how to embed individual tweets, I was if there were a way to embed a whole tweet storm, where someone posts multiple tweets as a chained sequence.

Any Hints on Embedding a Tweet Storm?

I generally just embed every even numbered post, which shows its predecessor, as follows: https://twitter.com/The_Acumen/status/1089894659520897029 https://twitter.com/The_Acumen/status/1089895046017703936 https://twitter.com/The_Acumen/status/1089896080882450433 https://twitter.com/The_Acumen/statu...

Next version, with the update storage, and conversion code up at GitHub.

Removed. Updating the API continues to break things.

Re: Legal question

Had a similar issue on my board, only it was a former mod who (probably her self-described hacker BF) created accounts with permissions set to "3" (founder) in the database, but not in the admin group, and then used them once a year to log in to say nyah, nyah, nyah. After 4 years (Yeah, I know), I ...

I do not see the point of using BBCodeXtra. Is good for nothing.
What features do you want on my update? (You should post it here)

Re: BBCodeXtra Replacement for Quantum (FF 57+) In Alpha Release

Still debugging, but it looks like the shift from the localStorage API to the browser.storage API will be invisible to the end user. It will be my next release, and hopefully this one will go to AMO. (Gotta pester the graphic artist working on the icons and logos, but he's my son, and I am his first...
