okay I figured it out, created a new group moved the members over but now there's a minor problem, the user name colour I defined for that group won;t over ride the colour they have as part of the "Registered Users" group.

Hi guys How can i do this, when a member has referred another new member to the forum have the referring member's nick change to say red? I don;t want to start messing around creating a new user group and changing group forum permissions and stuff, that's a pain in the you know where. Is there a sim...

Steve that's what i am thinking about doing, copy the board over to another domain, delete the forums and posts, make new forums.

What I am missing is once copied over the database name has to be changed I suppose. Would that be the way to go and keep the existing members on the 2nd database.

These guys are quick, took all of 2 minutes from opening the ticket to a reply, here is what they wrote.

"Fixed some errors by enabling: allow_url_fopen

I asked my host to have a look at it, as soon as they reply I will update the thread, if the news ticker code does not work on a simple html page then it's not a phpbb issue,
