Re: Spammers Via Contact Form

Maybe by allowing the "spambot countermeasures" to be placed on this page, it could block spambots. Just a suggestion.

Re: [BETA] Social Media Buttons with privacy

It's working nicely on my forum. I had to place the button at the bottom. At the top, my board style (we_universal) was preventing it from displaying correctly. The next question is whether you plan to add other sites. In any case, well done, and I think this is very useful! :) My one suggestion is ...

Re: [BETA] Lightbox

For what it's worth, I like Lightbox. It's straightforward and is simple to install and use.

I tried ReIMG, but I find this to be a very elegant solution.

Re: The "Extensions" toolbar never appears

In the end, it was simpler to create a second installation and migrate the data. I'm up and running correctly. My next task is to begin to add some artwork for the headers. But that was secondary to making sure it ran correctly. I like this version of phpBB. For the end user, I think it brings some ...

I've researched this as much as I can on the support forum and have tried different things - no avail. OK, thanks.

I'll go ahead and do that. I really like the ABBC3 mod, and it will be well worth the time.

Re: No one can register on my forum The registration page won't load.

Thanks. This did the trick! Copying the 3.0.12 files into my phpBB folder and running the database update.

People can now register. Now, I simply need to fix my ABBC3 codes, which aren't displaying. Rats!

Re: No one can register on my forum The registration page won't load.

I tried clearing the cache (but leaving the .htaccess and index.html file intact). Unfortunately, that did not work. I'm sort of stumped. I would go for a fresh install, but it would be v3.1.2, and I don't know if I could successfully restore my database. However, I'm not a webmaster. I know more th...

Re: getting hammered with spam

I am using Q&A Captcha on my site { spam removed }, but I also made the change that checks if the selected time zone is Baker Time, and bots (so far) don't seem to be able to overcome that. At some point, spammers will solve it. Search Baker Time for how to make the changes. They're simple. The ...
