Re: Problems rigth after fresh install - " Fatal error: Class 'phpbb\cron\task\core\prune_forum' not found...

prune_forum.php is NOT present in that directory, so I checked on my local PC for that file in the unzipped folders and I found it and then FTP'd it to the site in that directory and now things are working. I don't recall any failed FTP transfers when I did the fresh install, but it looks like this ...

What exactly are you trying to install?
Good point, highest is 3.0.14, but there is a 3.1.5, that won't be the same upgrade procedure thought, i don't think.

Are there files in the "install" directory on your web site? Or did you just create the folder, just making sure.

Re: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';' in Functions.php

Just as an update to this, I created the information on the tracker as requested. I also found that this is not limited to my phpbb installs, I also have a SMF install on my host and it was affected with what appears to be the same code. I am working with my host to get logs to see who accessed thes...

Re: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';' in Functions.php

OK, I will contact them and see what I can figure out. I am trying to do the steps you indicated below, but before I posted I had already edited the file to get my sites working, so I can't see what the edit date was before that as I didn't take note of it to be honest. Thanks for the help, I'll do ...

Re: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';' in Functions.php

If you have not changed anything then your hosts must have done something. Programs do not suddenly change their behaviour for no apparent reason. Have you asked your hosts? I have not contacted my host, I am just finding this and I agree it seems like it could be that, but what change could they h...

syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';' in Functions.php

So I have two message boards, both running 3.0.14 and today I got this error message on both sites, even though I have not done anything to them. Any thoughts on what it might be that is causing this? phpbb3 syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ',' or ';' in .../includes/functions.php line 2...

After any board change/refresh I can't start or edit a topic

So, I have found that after any board refresh and/or change, like adding or updating a MOD, that I can no longer start a new topic or edit one. I get the following error message every time: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/XXXXXX/public_html/XXXXXXXXXXXX/cache/tpl_prosilver_postin...

Missing UCP Signature box

OK, so got something weird, I did a search and didn't see any topics on this, but I could have missed it. When I go to the UCP and to the Profile section and then to the Signature portion I don't get anywhere to type. I do have MODs loaded, so I know it could be any of those. I am thinking it might ...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.1.0-RC1 released

So I am not sure of the answer to this, and not sure if this is the right place to post this, but here goes. My host is running php 5.3.28, and I know the requirement is 5.3.3 for php. But, I also know that not all companies do updates in the same way, so is 5.3.28 a higher release than 5.3.3 or a l...

Re: Service Unavaiable message for "Find Member" in ACP

A follow-up to this, any ideas on where to look for a log related to this? I am working on this for a friend and he doesn't see any errors. Any ideas on what is being called when I click on the "find user" so we can search a little further for what might be causing this?
