Re: phpbb htaccess files

As far as I am aware there is no minimum Apache version requirement for running phpBB therefore it is feasible that older versions are still in use. Yes that is why I said in my OP that the phpBB team would need an if statement to maintain compatibility between both new and older versions. I just c...

Re: phpbb htaccess files

Yes and it should remain but the correct syntax for Apache 2.4 is:

Code: Select all

Re: Emoji in Report Post Further information section causes error

Yea I came across this a while back. I fixed it by adding utf8_encode_ucr() to my core php files but never submitted a bug report. There were a couple of more instances like this but can't remember where they were right now. Submit a bug report :)

Re: Imagick was compiled against Image Magick flooding my error log

This is nothing to do with phpBB but everything to do with your server setup. Speak to your host about it or recompile it yourself if you manage your own server.

Re: phpBB and Cloudflare

I forgot that mod_cloudflare was being depreciated and so I have only just removed it and setup mod_remoteip. If using Centos the setup is a little different so put the following in a file named remoteip.conf and place if in the /etc/https/conf.d directory. RemoteIPHeader X-Forwarded-For RemoteIPTru...

Re: What is the general consensus on Cloudflare with PHPBB

My forum has been using Cloudflare without issue for years. I don't use it for CDN reasons though. If you set it up correctly then you won't have any issues either! Oh and stay away from one click installs!!

Why did you type "EMAIL ADDRESS"? Your email address is clearly visible under the smtp username field.

Re: Keep Getting Logged Out

At worst, the user has an old web browser that actually wants to see that dot there, per RFC 2109 (1997), or some other interpretation of the rules which makes them react to its presence. No, at worst some current smartphones will not correctly store the cookies. Feel free to keep telling pe...

Re: Keep Getting Logged Out

You should remove the leading dot from the Cookie Domain in ACP. RFC 6265 obsoleted the leading-dot, and all browsers since roughly 2014 support RFC6265. In fact, some smartphones will not correctly store cookies if a leading-dot is part of the cookie domain, and this is a reason one hears about coo...
