I dont know how to get the files into my FTP in order to transfer them across. Sorry - I hate half answering questions, and leaving people in the lurch! I shouldn't start answering questions first thing in the morning! If you visit the download page, and download the phpBB v2.0.18 package: http://w...

I've checked your .tpl files, and they all seem the same as mine, except overall_header.tpl - although technically the same, there are different spaces in there (or maybe tabs - hard to say) but nothing out of the ordinary. If I click your 'Register' link, then the 'Yes I'm over 13' link, I get a bl...

Looking at it, it could be one of three .tpl files - I don't know enough about phpBB to know which one. Uploading the three .tpl files is easy enough though.

How would you normally go about uploading files to your website (where phpBB sits) - do you use a front end program, or an FTP client?

If you run this toolkit, it should highlight the problem:

I guess one of the settings in the configuration panel is incorrect. Its hard to know which one without some more info, but this tool should check all your settings.

Hey, 45 plus views and no replies! Thanks for nothing. Thats because 45 people have looked at it, and didn't know - did you want 45 replies of 'Sorry - don't know.' ?? The title is dynamic, in that it changes to reflect the forum you're in. The first part of the title is determined by your site nam...

Some users don't have the right groups. I thought this was quite an old bug. What version of phpBB are you using?

In the meantime, I'll try and find the fix...

And if you can't get enough suggestions, this toolkit is simple to install (just one file) and does what you need:

You can install a fresh copy of phpBB in a seperate directory on your webhost, and get it to use the same database, but different tables - totally seperate from your existing forum.

Install the category MOD and test it out. Thats what I was meaning.

Indeed. If the .sql is as big as you say (50+MB) it sounds like it contains a lot of posts. You'll need to gzip this before uploading to your site (unless its already up there...)
