Re: Converting phpbb2.x to 3.x with Email Digest Mod?

Thanks. Guess I'll have to study the code later next summer and figure out the changes made so I can update the mod to work with 3.x

Hopefully someone will figure it out before me :D

Converting phpbb2.x to 3.x with Email Digest Mod?

If anyone has a 2.x board with the mod by Mark Hamill (see http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=187868) and they have converted to 3.x, could you please post whether the email mod still works successfully? I imagine there should not be any major changes needed or even a new updated mod but...

Super moderator mod? or sub-admin privilege?

I remember there was a super-moderator mod a long time ago but I cannot find it through searching. Basically, I would like to put someone else in charge of activating new registrations and hence, he would need access to a very limited version of the ACP. super moderator gave the ability to do this b...

PM entire group mod ?

I couldn't find one through the search engine - don't know if its been done .. but a mod that allows one to PM an entire group - say, a moderator group - to bring to their attention bad posts.

message_die and bypassing functions

Is there a way to bypass a function if a message_die is called? i have a buddy list function that puts the buddies into a menu in the page header but after posting a message or any other time a message_die occurs, i get the infamous "warning: page headers already sent out" So.. is there a ...

page redirect for users never visited before?

ok in sessions.php, it seems that the user_lastlogon time is updated even before the page loads as soon as a new user (one that has never visited before) logs in. For my site, I want to have the user redirected to the profile page to force them to change their password. any ideas? where do i put the...

i've implemented much of what you've already described (customizable forums to view - see my mod of netclectic's glance mod in this forum). I also had the same debate - i noticed that it takes extra queries to pull out from a new table. sessions.php already pulls out all values from the user table (...

showing the queries executed?

not the # of queries - i already have this one.. but actually showing what queries were run for a given page. I want to figure out why i have 25 queries on my portal page. by the way, for each column you add to the users table, does that count as one extra query when you do a $userdata['new_column_j...

i was expecting you to answer :) maybe you could utilize this script .. who knows. anyway, here we go. first, in users_table, we need two more columns .. 1) user_forums_view which is VARCHAR(50), NOT NULL and 2) user_forums_view_num which is tinyint(3) the first one will be an array which has the fo...

[ABD] MOD for Netclectic's At a Glance MOD

I've created a mod for the glance mod which allows users to select which forums they want to see on their portal page (or wherever glance is installed) and how many topics to display before paginating (i.e. Next X >>) If anyone's interested in this mod, let me know and I can put up what I've got. It...
