Re: Colorizeit Process After The Download?

remember, everything on the internet is case sensitive. Prosilver is not the same file as prosilver so be consistent. I always find it best to always use lower case for everything, then there is no confusion. While the general advice is good, the first sentence is not true. hTtP://wWw.GooGLe.CoM Th...

Re: Disable "reply-to" line in forum email

CraigsList seems to use a bi-directional forwarding system. Whenever user A wants to E-mail user B, the software creates an E-mail forwarder for both users, then sends user A's E-mail from user A's forwarder to user B's forwarder, which then forwards the E-mail to user B's real E-mail address. When ...

Re: How to save the information of one topic

I believe that most browsers have a Save As function that will save a Web page to your PC. I just tried that in Chrome with this topic and got the various images displayed, although the formatting looked as though no style sheet was applied. It's also possible that image links won't work if the imag...

Actually, that's only partially correct. The 3.1.x releases come as needed, but 3.2.0 is scheduled for this month or next month. See the phpBB Release Page.

ColorizeIt is temporary unavailable at phpbb.com. Do not worry, phpBB website team is working on fixing it! Sorry for inconvenience. Return to phpBB styles database. Browser ColorizeIt database. I know.. for a long time now :D I presume that occurred after the last hack of phpBB, possibly after or ...

Re: [Discuss] phpBB Release, Security and Support Plan

Area51 is using FontAwesome glyphs for icons (which I find a bit uglier than what we already have). I agree, but unfortunately, I'm not sure if there's anything that can be done. I fiddled with font-awesome for a while and found that styling them with color can be somewhat complex. There's plenty t...

Re: Post sort order change

If this is for an entire forum, your best bet would be to get a MOD or an Extension (you didn't say whether you were using 3.0.x or 3.1.x) that added default sorting options to the forum properties. That way people wouldn't even have to click the Go button. The tricky part would be determining when ...

Look at many of the icons. Area51 is using FontAwesome glyphs for icons (which I find a bit uglier than what we already have).

Re: The same user account for writing on forum and commenting news?

So I would like to ask if tehere are any plugins which allow integration of phpBB and for example Wordpress and Disqus? What you're looking for are called "bridges". Have you searched for "WordPress" or "Drupal" (or "bridges") here? Perhaps phpBB has it's own...

Have you tried searching for "spoiler"? A spoiler BBCode usually hides some text until the user does something, so it may work like you want.

Re: Notify me when a reply is posted

I haven't tested it, but I thought that E-mail notifications were supposed to work the same as in 3.0.x. Whether the in-site Notifications (clicking the Notifications link above) also work that way, or you get an in-site Notification for each post, I don't know (mainly because I never check those). ...

Seems fine to me. :? Posting this took 5-10 seconds, I think.

I don't know -- I've never tried to make one. That would be a good question for the Website or Documentation team.

Note that he did say that he was "allowing them to delete messages for the last 24 hours only." So worries about people editing others' posts is attacking a straw man. I'm more concerned for him when it comes time to update his board. He sounds like he's making core edits, not using extens...

Re: Prevent new users from posting new topics and new messages with images

Thanks Steve, I already did the change and been sleeping like a log for almost a week. Regular users can post while I am asleep from 12 to 6am, while new users go to moderation. In the morning there are less than ten messages in queue. So if it works for me what's the problem? Calling it a "pr...
