Re: functions.php

i'm doing the same, functions_compatibility.php just doesn't work. Maybe one day in the future it will be sorted but for the amount of hassle and time i've wasted trying to diagnose errors caused for something that already works isn't really worth it. maybe 3.0.12 to 3.1.12 will be the way forward f...

Re: does phpbb 3.1.3 really require composer?

thanks tony and everyone else for the advice, much appreciated. i'll add $phpbb_container and see if i can get this working. 3.1 is awesome and it would be a shame to go back to 3.0.12.

thanks

Hi, i am just looking for a quick clarification that can save me time. I currently have a site integrated with phpbb 3.0.12 and it works like a charm, i recently upgraded to 3.1.3 but find my integration scripts are not backward compatible any more. i.e php_check_hash() etc throws out functions_comp...

Re: does phpbb 3.1.3 really require composer?

yes this is in a function. function loginmember($visitor_ip) { global $db, $user, $cache, $config, $phpbb_root_path; ...... then the code in the previous post. I haven't touched anything yet because it worked fine with 3.0.12 I have seen somewhere that i need to use $passwords_manager->check($passwo...

Re: basic 3.0.12 upgrade to 3.1.3 just can't do it

hi Robert, its definitely my original config.sys

I found the problem, in my config i use @define('KT_INSTALLED', true); for my integration.

renaming the config to @define('PHPBB_INSTALLED', true); worked.

I just now need to rename all the PHPBB_ with KT_ so my integration works.

thanks

basic 3.0.12 upgrade to 3.1.3 just can't do it

Hi, Has anyone successfully upgraded from 3.0.12 direct to 3.1.3? the only mod i had installed was automod, so i removed it and cleared my cache. I then follow these instructions:- https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3.1/ug/upgradeguide/upgrade3/ So remove the relevant folders and add my current c...

Re: phpbb3 login after password change

Re: phpbb3 login after password change

hi, the thing is we use a custom login script and disable the phpbb login script.

If i can create a user via a script fine i cannot see why there isnt a simple way to change their password.

any ideas anyone?

Re: phpbb3 login after password change

sorry i forgot to mention one thing.

after my test user record gets updated (the new $H$ string is written to user_password) i find that I can still log in with my old password? even after doing a cache clear etc.

so this makes me think there is something else to update?

Hi,

Any idea what global var i am not declaring? because now I get this with our integration:-
Fatal error: Call to a member function header() on a non-object in /phpbb/session.php on line 223

where in 3.0.12 it works fine.

Re: Can this be done with 3.1

i've posted the same Q on vBulletin, IPB and SMF to see what response i get from there.

Shame PHPbb wasn't a little more granular :(

If I wanted to get into altering the ACL's of PHPbb then I suspect my response would be "not recommended"
