Re: [DEV] ReIMG Image Resizer

Hi,

thank you very much for the quick reply.

I already tried to create a quick'n'dirty tiny script to fix the partial displaying of these images.
Since the sripts in the mod are shrunken to one-liners, I gave up

Re: [DEV] ReIMG Image Resizer

Hi,

will this EXT work for ported images allready resized by this 3.0.x mod?
Unfortunately all images attached using the mod will show up ugly after upgrading to 3.1.x.

Thx in advance, HaNNF

Re: Supernova Support Required

Hi,

learn about using ccs backgrounds: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_background.asp

Use css3 background-size and/or css2 background-attachment declarations.

Cheers, HaNNF

Edit: Oh cool, you got it.

Re: Supernova Support Required

Hi,

you can achieve this by adding a background-image to your style.
For example this thread shows how it can be done.

Re: reparse bbcode

Hi,

Elsensee, one of our page developers, has written a single script to reparse bbcodes in 3.1.x.
Its migrated from support tool kit and now a stand allone solution:

You can find it in this posting on phpbb.de or on github: https://gist.github.com/Elsensee/f06b252d2315d4d8f716

Re: Changing forum url

Hi. 1) backup all files and your database 2) go to the ACP and set the new script-path 3) set the new cookie-path in your ACP 4) move or copy all files from /phpBB3/ to the root folder of your domain 1 and 2 are optional, but may help if something goes wrong. If everything works fine in root, you ca...

Re: 403 Forbidden on adding over 3 [url] tags

Hi, very interesting behaviour. We had somebody on phpbb.de asking for support on nearly the same issue yesterday: https://www.phpbb.de/community/viewtopic.php?f=147&t=233028 I tested it and it is weird: You can post as many URLs as you want converted by magic url. You can post as many URLs as y...

Re: phpBB.com Random header background (header.php)

Hi.

Yes, I read about your prob and I'm with you.
Most performance problems are caused by database servers.
Pages without db-calls on the same webserver are much faster in most cases, even if there are more php calculations.

Re: Voting in Polls Bumps Topic

Hi, did you purge the cache in admin panel? If yes, it did not work under which circumstances? It only works if the voting user is allowed to bump the topic . You can check that by clicking the topic-tools-icon. Mark topic as new have to be in there. Only then the user is allowed to bump the topic. ...

Re: phpBB.com Random header background (header.php)

Hi. When I go to http://www.mydomain.com/forum/subforum, the header image is there, and changes But when I go to http://www.mydomain.com/forum/index.php , it is blank. Thats right, you have to set the right relative path or an absolute url. If you call a "normal" image, its also blank if y...

Re: Voting in Polls Bumps Topic

Hi, for this little feature you won't need an extension. Just open ./styles/ <stylename> /template/viewtopic_body.html and find: <input type="submit" name="update" value="{L_SUBMIT_VOTE}" class="button1" />  Replace with: <input type="submit" name=&q...

Re: Understanding Facebook OAuth login system

Hi,

thats right for the moment. Only login is implemented so far.
You have to have a phpBB-account already registred, before you can identify yourself with oAuth.

Planned for the future:
A new account can be created in phpBB from third-party account data in just one click.

Re: [release] ProSilver On The Rocks (phpBB 3.1.2+)

Hi, no problem. Feel free to change whatever you want :D At first I had an overlay shinig-through logoimage in mind and dvelopment for the big one on index page, but then I kept a simple img tag just to make it easy to use own images. The small one in the headerbar can be changed in css or simply be...
