Re: [How to] Change your board logo 3.1.x

Exactly the same outcome I'm afraid Robert. /* Site description and logo */ #site-description { float: left; width: 65%; height: 40%; display: none; } #site-description h1 { margin-right: 0; } /* Round cornered boxes and backgrounds ---------------------------------------- */ .headerbar { background...

Re: [How to] Change your board logo 3.1.x

Robert, Thanks for your help on this. I have uploaded the site to the new server this morning and made the changes on the board before it goes live. However it has not worked as well as I guess it should have. I used the extension from APC to remove the text and logo. I have tried several permutatio...

Re: [How to] Change your board logo 3.1.x

Thanks guys. I was using OSX TextEdit but clearly that is not capable so I now have TextWrangler and can see what you mean. I have located what I think is the correct section however I think much of the text in the example of the guide would not be applicable to my application (mailto etc.) Would yo...

Re: [How to] Change your board logo 3.1.x

I have reverted the files back to the originals, so you won't see the changes. Perhaps I misunderstood the abilities of the extension it only replaces the phpBB logo rather than the entire banner. I have got it placed with extension but it sits off centre hen viewed on iPad and doesn't display at al...

Re: [How to] Change your board logo 3.1.x

Hi, I would like to replace this banner/graphic in the layout with the one above. Screen Shot 2015-11-08 at 08.55.15.png I used the Custom Site Logo to remove the phpBB logo then followed the guide on page one. It removed this text - The Free Volkswagen California Club but left behind this text - Th...

Re: GoDaddy Strikes Again!! Help Please

Thanks for the link Robert.

I looked at the recommended / advertisers here and 3 of the 4 companies appear to be derivatives of each other.

Re: GoDaddy Strikes Again!! Help Please

Full marks to GoDaddy in this one. They have got the site running again, and quite quickly. Unlike 123-reg. whom still have not been able to get anything working. I've told 123-reg I plan to exercise my 14 days cancellation option so does anyone have any recommendations for good, but low priced (I k...

Re: GoDaddy Strikes Again!! Help Please

Well today's update is the hosting company has managed to upload the DB and it appears to be present however I cannot get the site to load. I have rebuilt the config.php to what I think is correct. When I compare the details of the two DB's some of the numbers are different, could this be a problem?...

Re: GoDaddy Strikes Again!! Help Please

The C Panel creates the DB name like that when you create a new DB. It asks you to put in a name, in this case I chose vwcc, and it adds the rest automatically for some reason. If I put the correct password in the login page as shown below I see the DB. Screen Shot 2015-11-01 at 21.26.07.png Logged ...
