Re: Are there any PHPbb SEO tools to improve seo?

I sent you a PM. I haven't tried this EXT out until I get a response so I know how to move forward. I have done my best to build n extension to share this element with others. I believe John Conner is testing it out now among others, and I have it running/working on two sites. both 3.2.x, sorry all ...

Re: How to use SMTP google

SMTP server address is: tls://smtp.gmail.com Port: 465 Authentication: Plain SMTP user name is the E-mail address. Verify SSL Cert and verify SMTP peer name. Allow self-signed certs No. You should know that Gmail only allows so many E-mails to be sent and received. I'm not too sure what that number ...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.2.1 released

Mamba, I have made core edits myself. What I did was write down in a notepad on the desktop what the edits were. I just use the manual update now since I discovered 3.2 F&^%S with your board using automatic updates. When I used automatic updates to go from 3.1.10 to 3.2 it destroyed my board. Luckil...

Re: Are there any PHPbb SEO tools to improve seo?

I used that SEO extension and it was a giant cluster F^%$. Not only did it cause problems, but once I removed the extension I was getting a lot of Google not found links. That in its self is bad for SEO. Just don't use it. Use this instead. https://www.inveostore.com/phpbb-seo-extension-40

There's also thanks for posts, which is more like the original Facebook like button.
I think that's the one I had, but it doesn't work in 3.2 due to font-awesome.

Re: Are there any PHPbb SEO tools to improve seo?

Here's a pro version that I would use. https://www.inveostore.com/phpbb-seo-extension-40 Nice one, but I inspected the demo, and do not see any META tags in the header of that phpBB site demo they got with it running. Just looks like it only creates friendly URLs, and that's just a whole other conv...

Re: Are there any PHPbb SEO tools to improve seo?

This works pretty well: https://github.com/tas2580/seourls No it don't. It's crap and it messed up my forum with all kinds of trouble. Here's a pro version that I would use. https://www.inveostore.com/phpbb-seo-extension-40 In addition to that I would use the SEO Sitemap extension. https://github.c...

Re: It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image

The problem in 3.2.1 is caused by an update of the used vendor library fast-image-size. This library has changed the behaviour for JPEG. They force to use the EXIF header for determine the image size, if available. https://github.com/marc1706/fast-image-size/issues/34 This causes, that images which...

Re: It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image

I have had this same annoying problem many times. The only thing that seemed to fix it for me was setting the max and min image size to 0x0. I see you have that set so I don't know what to think. This issue needs to be resolved because it's very annoying when it happens. 10 years is flipping ridicul...

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.2.1 released

Why is it so hard not to follow this: https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3.1/kb/article/updating-32x/ I did exactly this and had no trouble at all upgrading. Outside of my core file edits I had to revert back, but that's it. I just keep a folder and a list of all the edits I do to my core files. ...

It works. He's just trying to get it validated as an official release.
