Show visitor referrer link in forum

I use this extension which is nice, but I see people come to my site from Google, but I don't know what page they viewed on my site. I always have to copy the IP address and do a search in the access logs to see what page they landed on. Is it possible to use that code and make it so I see this? I d...

Re: http to https transition

I had this issue with links to internal parts of my forum. I changed domains and as such old links wouldn't work. So what I did was download the SQL database file, open it in Notepad ++ and replace all instances of my old domain URL to my new domain URL. Then I reuploaded the new SQL database file. ...

The fix is here: https://github.com/marc1706/fast-image- ... l/41/files.
I have no idea how to implement any of that. Will this be added to the next version of phpBB?

I would have a look at this extension. https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/advanced_bbcode_box/ You might also be interested in this extension. https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2272431 I use both. Yup, I use "Advanced" and I've inquired about the other extension as wel...

Re: Discuss: Reintroducing phpBB Ideas

I'm guessing the implemented ideas is what phpBB can already due? If so, I see a Social Network login idea and is under the implemented ideas, yet I don't think the core of phpBB allows this. Only via an extension. Also, I don't even see my idea anymore. I made a post about changing the way IPs are ...

Re: CCleaner Hack and what to do about it

I haven't updated Ccleaner in ages and still use 4.xx. There's really no need to update anyway. It will do the same thing, i.e try to delete temp files. I never use the registry cleaner as that is just snake oil. It's good when you are manually removing a program though and need to wipe out registry...

Re: [3.1][3.2][BETA] QAIP - Quote Attachments Img in Posts

I understand what you're saying and I can do that, but I can't expect my users to know that especially since about 90% of them use a smart device of one form or another and that would entail extra steps. Regardless of what YOU think, I think it would be prudent to listen to your users who use your e...

My motto is: Nothing is impossible and every problem has a solution.

If I have to make core changes I will. I really like to have images parsed in the post. :geek:

) Ps.: simply mouse hover the img you want to quote and copy the link, or simply look at which position has been placed... before to quote the message. Those are ordered. Yeah, my users are too dumb to have to do that. Especially new users. I tried to quote the first image, but it quoted the very l...

Re: Posts waiting for approval should be visible to the authors

I don't understand this. I have set that the Newly Registered user be placed in moderation que for a first post. After that first post is approved he/she is free to post at will. I do know for a fact with my test accounts a message is given to the new user saying their post needs to be approved. Am ...
