Re: [2.0.10] ezDownloads

It might have stood out more if it had had a txt extension rather than the mod extension. I can understand how you might not have seen it the first time you looked...

Re: [2.0.10] ezDownloads

The SQL instructions are included in the ezDownloads.mod MOD script. AFAICS, the MOD author didn't create a db update file, explaining why he didn't include it in the archive. If you install the MOD using EasyMod, then it can apply the SQL changes to your database for you. Otherwise, you can either ...

I'm looking into how I can make this MOD EasyMOD comatible, but for now, manual install is the way to go. If you need some assistance in making your MOD EM compatible, don't hesitate to ask. It really isn't that hard and if you want to make it so few people have problems with installing it, ...

At the top of this topic, you will see two conditions that can be used to deny a MOD. The second condition is that they Test with EasyMOD and if their MOD fails to install with EM on a virgin phpBB install then they had better have a darn good reason why! . The darn good reason why isn't that the MO...

Not liking EM is not considered a good reason not to follow the standards that allow MODs to install using EM. IF you want to see why that standard is so important, go to phpBBHacks.com and you will see many different and confusing MOD script formats and many MODs that just don't work. The standard ...

Before making claims that aren't true, check the timestamps of the messages above. This had been brought back to life at 10:28 am Oct 12, 2006 by RMcGirr83. I simply responded to him. Then you jumped in. I will be happy to let it die again if you and everyone else chooses to do the same... http://im...

Drathbun, I am more than happy to move forward. But if you and others want to continue bringing the topic back to life, I am more than happy to continue explaining the problem to you all. If you want to let it die, do so. If you want to keep discussing it, keep responding to the topic and I will be ...

Actually it works on some sites and not others. Whether the wildcards work or not seems to depend on Host retrictions. If there is an easy way to design MODs so that they will install on most sites, that is the better approach...

I'm a total n00b who was hoping to find a plug-n-play solution. I have a friend who does web admin, I'm just going to pay him to set up the forum and install the mods I need. Fudgonaut, if you go to Area 51 and ask for assistance, I'll be happy to help you save some money as well as help you instal...

Ptirhiik, that is your opinion, which is not shared by thousands of other people who regularly use EM every day. Don't trash EM simply because you don't want to build your MODs to work with it... I can say plenty negative about your MODs too, but I have a bit more courtesy than you seem to be showin...

What you seem to be missing is that COPY root/*.* TO *.* should grab everything in the root folder and copy it over, subfolders and all. You shouldn't need to specify each folder separately.. Actually COPY root/*.* TO *.* will only copy the calendar.php to the phpBB root folder and nothing else. It...
