That's because you've already read them so they are no longer unread and therefore not on the list.
Okay thanks. :)

Did you check "active topics"?
Honestly, I don't think I ever tried that!

Re: New Posts/Unread Posts not quite right, am I missing something?

Otherwise, every post you haven't read would remain New forever. That's actually my point. As it is now, like I said in my original post, "New Posts" shows what *I* just posted (that day) even though I've technically already read them, and then a few other "new" posts. Then "Unread Posts" shows eve...

New Posts/Unread Posts not quite right, am I missing something?

So I've been running phpBB 3.2.1 for a couple months. Not bad for a free forum software. However, why does the "New Posts" feature only show a few posts, and MY posts that I JUST made? I have to use "Unread Posts" to find "everything".

Is this normal? It seem a little obtuse. :?:

Re: Our PHPBB3 site was hacked by bot and Gonzo

So was this due to some kind of vulnerability? Should I be concerned?

board sending mails, but NOT new user confirmation mail!

I've confirmed that my 3.2.1 forum is indeed sending e-mail (via external SMTP), however, whenever a new user registers, it doesn't appear to be sending that user a confirmation e-mail to activate their account, and I have to keep doing it manually. It only sends them a "welcome" e-mail (according t...

"New Posts" not showing anything, when there ARE new!

There has been a lot of new posts on my 3.1.11 forum. But when I use the "New Posts" link, I get this:
No suitable matches were found.
If I click "Unread Posts" it shows them. This is odd. Help please! Thanks!

Re: Memcached help needed

Memcached/Memcache is very tricky. I never managed to get it working on any of my sites despite considerable effort. I suggest Opcache, which should be standard on UNIX servers and very easy to use.

Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.2.0-RC1 Released

Well, to be fair the entire project is based on volunteers these things are bound to happen. Estimating how long it takes to get something ready [for release] when it comes to software development is hard enough even when you have people on payroll. So it is even more difficult when you have no rea...

I thought they are dropping support for 3.0.x, but not for 3.1.x?
