Re: [3.2][3.3][BETA] Usermap for phpBB

I'm also getting "You are not authorized to see the user map." I've checked both Geonames accounts that I had and they are active (I'm logged-in). Is there any way of getting version 0.8 back to double check if it is geonames or the extension? EDIT: I managed to download the previous versi...

Re: [3.2][3.3][BETA] Usermap for phpBB

Hello Mike. I have a problem with the new version. I'm just getting a page that says INFORMATION when a user changes their details in the UCP or if I change it in the admin. Older version was working OK.

Re: [3.2][3.3][BETA] Usermap for phpBB

Are there new lines to translate? Not yet, the changes in ver. 0.8.0 do not have an impact on the language files. I guess there would be no reason why all users couldn't see the link. Do I understand that correctly as that you want all your users to see the map with users' locations even if they do...

Re: [3.2][3.3][BETA] Usermap for phpBB

Version 0.8.0 working well on my forum. Just a thought... I have my forum set up with the newly registered group where an admin has to approve the users first post. A useful feature would be to have a link when looking at a 'users profile' to see the users location on the map. I could then check the...

Re: S_Username BBCode

Anonymous is the name phpBB gave for guests in the forums. For years I have always went into ACP / Users and Groups / Manage users / Enter username: Anonymous / SUBMIT There I change the username Anonymous to Guest. Then "Guest" will show throughout the forum. Well I never realised that. ...

Re: S_Username BBCode

Is there a way to change the word 'Anonymous' to 'Guest' when a user visits the forum without being logged-in?

I had a look in the language file and it isn't listed. Any help would be really appreciated!

Re: [3.2][3.3][BETA] Usermap for phpBB

You are a star. That is fantastic. It's working really well and my forum users love the extension. Well done.

I've tried some different User Maps over the years I've been running phpbb and yours is the easiest to use and works flawlessly. Your hard work is much appreciated! ;)

Re: [3.2][3.3][BETA] Usermap for phpBB

A small issue, some of the text on the map is in German. I'm guessing this is due to where the map data is collected from on OpenStreetMap. Is there a way to have the map language in British? For example, Ireland is spelt Irland. On visiting OpenStreetMap website from the UK, the map shows the text ...

Re: [3.2][3.3][BETA] Usermap for phpBB

OK, after many hours, I finally got it to work by creating a new custom profile called "phpbb_location"

It's looking good. Thank you for your efforts.

Re: [3.2][3.3][BETA] Usermap for phpBB

I tried creating a profile called Location as a text input, but it didn't work.

Maybe the only way would be for somebody to give me the default MySQL code so I can insert the fields required for the default Location using phpmyadmin ;)

Re: [3.2][3.3][BETA] Usermap for phpBB

The extension is missing the predefined profile field 'location' which is by default part of phpbb. Did you by any chance remove it from your profile fields list? The profile should look something like this (of course there can be more fields): UCP_Profile1.jpg I may have when I removed facebook, t...

Re: [3.2][3.3][BETA] Usermap for phpBB

Thought I'd give the Usermap extension a try. All registered and activated with Geonames. When I try to add my post code and country in the user control panel (Profile) I am getting the following error: General Error SQL ERROR [ mysqli ] Unknown column 'pf.pf_phpbb_location' in 'field list' [1054] S...

Re: Gaps in Gallery Avatar list

It took forever, but I've discovered the reason I was getting a gap in the avatar list. Just one avatar I used was 60x65 where all the others were 60x60. If you look at the second image in my first post, you can see the Victorian looking girl is slightly taller. I can't believe it took me so long to...
