Resolved the issue myself by doing an import of the sql backup file directly to myPhpAdmin

Close the tab, it isn't needed. If the posts are back why would do a restore? As I said previously, the index page of the website is current - you can see everything that was posted up until 10/10. But when you try to click on any of those links, you get a "topic does not exist" message. ...
