Re: Search doesn't work anymore

You can try emptying (TRUNCATE) the 3 search_* tables (do NOT delete (DROP) them) and then using this MOD to rebuild the tables. You have nothing to lose as it doesn't work now. http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=329629 Have tried both TRUNCATE and DELETE and neither has helped. However...

(split from) Search doesn't work anymore

I also recently updated to php5 and mysql5 and am having the same issue only I am using the latest version of phpbb2. I have 3 installs on the server and one of the installs needs to remain v2 for some time to come due to some integrations with another script. I can search by author in all three of ...

Re: phpBB2 > phpBB3 conversion issue

I decided to try using XAMPP for the process as it is what I typically use for testing. I upped the memory limit from 32M to 1024M and upped the timeout from 60 to 9999. I am receiving the following during upgrade: General Error SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ] MySQL server has gone away [2006] SQL UPDATE phpbb...

Re: phpBB2 > phpBB3 conversion issue

I just realized that I may have posted this in the wrong forum. Should I have posted it in the converter ( http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewforum.php?f=65 ) forum?

Re: phpBB2 > phpBB3 conversion issue

It looks like I'm not the only one to experience this issue. Unfortunately, looking through all the posts of people who had the same (or similar) issue, none of them were resolved. Here are some threads: http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=46&t=909745&p=5195935&hilit=+current_table%3D15+s...

phpBB2 > phpBB3 conversion issue

So I was having an issue where I would get a 500 internal server error when converting a phpBB2 MySQL database to phpBB3. After poking around on the forums I followed the instructions at: http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/offline-conversions/ Same issue though. Once I get to: http://127.0.0.1/phpBB3/i...

Re: Integrating another php script to use phpbb's users

I've spoken with the script designer (for WSNLinks) and he said that there are too many conflicts to include the phpBB functions/script as a whole. He has asked me to ask if there is a way to transform the typed value into the database's user_password value without using phpBB.

Thanks,
Brad

Re: Integrating another php script to use phpbb's users

phpBB uses its own hashing function for this, phpbb_hash() from includes/functions.php. Right, I see there is a phpbb_hash, phpbb_check_hash, _hash_gensalt_private, _hash_encode64, and _hash_crypt_private, but looking over that information I'm just not sure how to get from point A (user entered pas...

Integrating another php script to use phpbb's users

I am using a php script called WSNLinks that utilizes my username/password database from phpbb2. It is very easy to set up the integration, but I'm having difficulty integrating it with phpbb3. It is all done via the admin interface and as I don't really know php/mysql (can edit and fumble about, bu...

Re: Adsense revenue sharing mod

I'd also be really interested in this type of a mod, as I am sure others currently using this mod for 2.x would be.
