Permission "Names"

Hi, I'm creating a portal. Since it will fetch things like recent posts, most viewed topics, etc. I need to check that the user can read these topics too. I was looking at the $auth class and found this function: /** * Get forums with the specified permission setting * * @param string $opt The permi...

Re: [RC] Activity Stats (includes "who was here?")

It happens to all user links under "ACTIVITY STATISTICS", not just specific ones. The links get somehow not rendered, neither does the color- I assume it might be a problem with the get_username_string() function somehow not being executed properly (or executed at all). This error happens ...

Re: [RC] Activity Stats (includes "who was here?")

Hi combuster, to specify, most times the users are clickable. But there are a few times they are not, and this isn't related to none of the three things you mentioned because as I said it happens randomly, regardless of user. For example, I go in the morning to my forum and they are clickable. Then ...

IncludeCSS

Hello all. I'm having issues with the <!-- INCLUDECSS --> command in file templates. For some reason, it's doing nothing when I try to load stylesheets on my own server. I have tried using full URL path http://mysite.com/.../file.css , relative path ../theme/file.css , also relative path from php /s...

Re: [RC] Activity Stats (includes "who was here?")

it seems sometimes the users on this module are clickable, while sometimes they are not. Any idea why this happens? Thanks.

Extension not removed successfully

Hello, I have tried removing the pages extension from my board. I followed the steps mentioned to remove an extension. The folder is now gone, however there seems to be some leftover from this extension, as I see the following message on my extension list: The “phpbb/pages” extension is not valid. T...

Re: Cache

Thanks.

But I'm intrigued by one little thing, does this option only affect styles (as it says) or also cache on the PHP files?

Cache

Hello,

I remember enabling this developer option that made the cache not save at all, so you would see refreshed templates everytime. But somehow, I forgot how to disable this option, I'm assuming it should be somewhere in the ACP; but I can't find it.

Thanks !

Re: New Notification Types?

Oh I see. So that's not needed if I want to modify them in the core directly?

New Notification Types?

Hello, I am using phpBB 3.1.2 and I want to add custom notification types for my board. I have found this thread: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=461&t=2259916 , which seems to describe it nicely. What I would like to know is how would I add new notifications directly from phpBB ...

Re: [RC] Activity Stats (includes "who was here?")

Sadly this extension isn't working very well, about half of the users are not being displayed.
