Thank you for your answer. Yes, if I use FastCGI there are a lot of istances when 100% CPU load happens. But, I also made a try with ISAPI: in this case I see DLLHOST process growing up and, when CPU load goes to 100%, DLLHOST process immediately grows to unacceptable values (i.e. 100 - 150 MB in RA...

I'm using MySQL. The MySQL databases are on another machine in the same network. It's strange that if I disable phpbb, CPU load immediately goes down to 0% - 15% max. even if there are more than 350 users connected to ASP pages (the rest of my website is in ASP; also ASP pages use MySQL database). O...

Hi cameronc! I have exactly the same problem! :( I am the admin of a quite famous phpbb board (about 300 MB MySQL database). I'm registering always heavy CPU usage even if there are about 20-25 users online. Sometimes it happens that CPU is blocked to 100% and the server, obviously, slows down immed...

Could the problem of heavy CPU usage (100% peaks) depends on robots that are spidering my phpbb board? I have just moved to FastCGI but I still experience the same problem. Please note that I'm administering a dedicated server that runs only one big web site. This web site (3.500.000 page views/mont...

heavy CPU usage

Hi all! I am the admin of a quite famous phpbb board (about 300 MB MySQL database). When there are about 30-35 users connected to my board, my server (dedicated server, Windows 2000 Server, phpbb 2.0.11, IIS 5, PHP 4.3.10 configured in IIS as CGI-module using PHP.EXE) register heavy CPU usage. How d...

psoTFX wrote ( http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=248046 ) that problematical functions include unserialize and realpath.
It's interesting to know if they are planning to solve these aspects with a new version of phpbb (2.0.12 ?).

Thanks.

To phpbb support team: better to apply these modifications?

The following thread http://www.phpbbstyles.com/viewtopic.php?t=1904 shows a list of modifications that has to be applied to phpbb boards that are running on PHP < 4.3.10 servers. What do you think about these modifications? Do you plan to release a phpbb 2.0.12 version based on this code? Thanks in...

Sorry, that was a bit confusing. :( As far as the highlight vulnerability and the PHP vulnerability, you are safe. You have 2.0.11 and PHP 4.3.10. Neither of which have known vulnerabilities. However, you still need to keep up-to-date, making sure your server has the latest patches and so on. If yo...

I would like to understand if NeverEverNoSanity uses only phpbb highlight bug or PHP < 4.3.10 vulnerabilities too The NeverEverNoSanity uses the phpbb highlight bug only. FFIndonesia (PHP 4.1.0 :? - phpbb 2.0.11) is saying that his site was defaced by "NeverEverNoSanity". How can is it possible?!
