Re: [3.2][3.3][ALPHA] EXIR - Exif Image Rotation 📸

I guess you could report it, but I'm not sure I see the point. I removed links in my previous post in any event. In the main PHPBB ACP page ("General" tab), there is a menu item under "Board Configuration" that is named "Post Settings." If you select that, under "P...

Re: [3.2][3.3][ALPHA] EXIR - Exif Image Rotation 📸

So it works with the same image on your board with what I believe is the same main_listener.php file. I'll keep digging and see if I can discover what's going on. It does get resized on my board, so I know it's getting processed, just not rotated. Thanks for the confirmation,

Re: [3.2][3.3][ALPHA] EXIR - Exif Image Rotation 📸

My test images resize according to whatever hardcoded maximum dimensions I input (using the second, longer edit to the main_listener.php file), but the image rotation is not corrected. In other words, it appears the edits to the php file are properly saved and the resizing function is being executed...

Re: [3.2][3.3][ALPHA] EXIR - Exif Image Rotation 📸

Many thanks for your ideas. I’ll look at making the changes tomorrow. My moderators will be happy not to be manually rotating images anymore,

Re: [3.2][ALPHA] EXIR - Exif Image Rotation 📸

Since you're actively involved in so many other projects, I wanted to mention that I also posted a suggestion that the exif tags in images should be natively handled in phpbb 4.0. There are so many mobile users who hold their phones any which way and post photos that it's becoming increasingly impor...

Re: [3.2][ALPHA] EXIR - Exif Image Rotation

It looks like this no longer works under PHPBB 3.3.0, and I'm not savvy enough to know why. Anybody else having problems, or know of a solution? It was a great fix, and my board's users miss it already! Thanks,

John

Re: Users not staying logged in on ios/android

OK, this still doesn't work for longer than a day, so I opened a bug report https://tracker.phpbb.com/browse/PHPBB3-15574 which was promptly closed implying it was a user error rather than a coding problem. It's also relevant that the "remember me" works fine on desktop browsers (firefox, ...

Re: Users not staying logged in on ios/android

I changed the cookie settings from www.cobaltchat.com to .cobaltchat.com, which is contrary to the guidance given in the cookie configuration article linked above, so hopefully this helps others too.

Thanks again,

John

Yep, changed the cookie name, purged the cache, and cleared all current sessions.

Re: Users not staying logged in on ios/android

Changed the domain setting to .cobaltchat.com about 10am central this morning - I'll report back on whether my members have fewer problems. I thought I had set the cookie domain correctly based on the article posted at: https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3.1/kb/article/fixing-incorrect-cookie-set...

Users not staying logged in on ios/android

I've had several complaints (and noticed myself on my iphone) that clicking the box to stay logged in doesn't result in staying logged in my PHPBB forum on mobile devices, but it seems to work on desktops. My iphone is set to receive cookies and works ok with staying logged in to other sites, but I'...

Try updating using full package docs/INSTALL.html#update_full
This eventually fixed my problem. The installation instructions/installer for the automatic upgrade could perhaps take this into account or check for this in future fixes?
