Re: [RC] Attachments in subfolders

great :) just so you know, with your script I migrated our forum having 630 thousand attachments (multiply by two for the thumbnails ...) and about 113gb of data in about 4 hours :D it works great now with this patch ! thanks alot ! Two minor experiences - if you are using some older phpBB version, ...

Re: [RC] Attachments in subfolders

just a small notice ... I guess you expect, in your migration script, that the numbering of the attach_ids starts from zero and that its number equals the number of attachments totally, which is not true, if you migrate or do whatever with your attachments (mine att_ids starts at 200000, as it was p...

Re: [Beta] Sphinx search for phpBB 1.0.beta2

hi naderman, thanks for the reply. Do you have any hint how to solve my other problem with searching terms like F-16 T-34 with the - in it ? I found in your code you do some kind of replacement, but im unable to disable it, so the search term stays unmodified, I need to be able to search for those t...

Re: [Beta] Sphinx search for phpBB 1.0.beta2

well, no advice ? I also realised, that my previous statement is not correct - after i used phpbb Sphinx, my original Sphinx stop to work. It created the data files, but was unable to rotate them. I had to shutdown my original sphinx deamon, and start it to make it work again. So, I suggest you do N...

Re: [Beta] Sphinx search for phpBB 1.0.beta2

well, i did some experiments, and here is the result : to install this mod, you can use AUTOMOD plugin, which is downloadable via phpbb.com site, and which allows you to install modX mods ... it will NOT install if you are using by default other than EN language, because it wont find language/YOURLA...

Re: [Beta] Sphinx search for phpBB 1.0.beta2

hi, I have two questions : 1] I run phpbb 3.0.0 site, took over from previous owner, and have no idea how to install this mod ? I used to work with phpbb 2.0 site, where the installation was done manually using "step by step" instruction, but here I see some option to install automaticly ? Never use...

BBCode not parsed / uid / checksum problem ?

Hi, based on this posts http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=219269&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&start=285 i've created the modification to allow displaying of TABLE MOD from older 2.0 version of phpbb in 3.0. With new topics, it work just fine, or if I take the post, edit it and save it, but as my...

Re: Timeouts/buffer problems with large forum/upgrade from 2.0

There is one error I already identified - during the upgrade the forums were not transfered correctly in the structure they were on 2.0 / MOD HIERARCHY, but all were put to top level category. I replaced the parent id with correct numbers to restore the tree hierarchy, but didnt noticed the left_id ...

Re: [2.0.17] Table BBCode

i agree that biggest issue here are the closing tags that werent needed in 2.0 mod, else it can be done via the code mentioned above. To address the color tag issue, i recommend to create instead of tag [row color=xxxxxx] new one [rowcolor=xxxxxx] which you can easily replace same way you did the ot...

Timeouts/buffer problems with large forum/upgrade from 2.0

I did clean install of phpbb 3.0 on my server, after several hours i moved all my existing content from 2.0 to 3.0 board, including permissions and users. Currently, i have 250.000 posts, 50.000 topics, 6000 users and 4500 categories (pleas...

Hi, AJAX is just AMAZING approach to play with ! Just to give you an idea : our forum runs like wiki, as a huge catalogue of weapons and military events. To allow users to link between forums and content they are writing, I added script which opens a window with all forums from given category, and c...

Hi all, this is amazing topic, I have to say ! You all made an amazing work ! I run phpBB basically as wiki - place, where people create some kind of encyklopaedia about history. Not so many posts (100k), not so many users (4k, pruned regulary), but huge amount of categories (20k). And this causes m...
