Re: Image orientation in plupload, using EXIF

Is it possible to explain what is required to manually replace the plupload component of phpBB to the newer version? I can see where at least one of the files that ships with plupload is located within phpbb (FORUM/assets/plupload/plupload.full.min.js - which shows I'm running v2.3.3]. Is that it? ...

Re: Image orientation in plupload, using EXIF

On my forums have applied the change: In /phpbb/plupload/plupload.php (around line 269) 'resize: {width: %d, height: %d, quality: 85},', ... becomes... 'resize: {width: %d, height: %d, quality: 85,preserve_headers: false},', and updated plupload to v2.3.6. These 2 changes seem to have fixed the imag...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Image Redirect

For the sake of discussion and enlightenment, Amigo, can you tell us what harm a MITM attack can do on an image link in a typical phpBB forum context? Remember that the browser has been told to render the link content as an image. Given the answer to that question, what action would you as a user ta...

Re: Sitemap Build Required

For those who are not familiar with sitemaps, you can see the one on my forum at: https://frenchcarforum.co.uk/forum/sitemap.xml The first page is a list of links to a sitemap for each forum that the user is permitted to see. The subsequent pages are a list of links to each viewforum page followed b...

Re: Sitemap Build Required

The extension I linked to above is a dynamic sitemap that is generated on-the-fly when the url is interrogated. It updates every time a post is made of deleted. It only maps the phpBB forum posts (and only those that a bot has read access). I have a separate sitemaps for statuc content and another d...

Re: Sitemap Build Required

I use a forked version of the tas2580/sitemap extension. There is no configuration required after installing the extension, point the search engine crawlers at /your_forum_root/sitemap.xml (or /your_forum_root/app.php/sitemap.xml if you don't have mod_rewrite enabled) and it just works. My fork (whi...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Image Redirect

I just created version 2.0.0-b2 which has a 1 line change to fix a php warning. I would advise updating to this version if you are testing the extension.

Re: bbcode_second_pass_by_extension() method

Perhaps you're better off just reparsing your text. 1 time job that spares you a lot of work: https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3.2/kb/article/phpbb-32%2B-text-reparser/ Yes, I already came to that conclusion. It is a pity that there is no warning to the admin that the database still contains o...

And how does this extension differ from "Camo SSL Image Proxy Configuration" ?
That is covered in the second post in this topic. This extension supercedes it.

Re: [3.2][BETA] Image Redirect

You can clearly describe how to configure for - Local Image Store mode: for dummes  please I think that I would like to keep this topic only for discussion of the Image Redirect extension, not the associated image harvesting scripts, nor the configuration of a camo proxy server. For the im...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Image Redirect

Do you have a issue with the phpBB.com forums using the same technique? That is where I learned the concept. [edit] It is worth noting that this extension only modifies <img src=... > urls. This means that a standards compliant browser will only attempt to render the contents of a link as an image. ...

Re: Images Hijacked by Photobucket?

For those who have used the scripts, and are using the Image Redirect extension to serve the harvested images, I have made v2.0.0-b1 of the extension for phpBB v3.2.x which is signifcantly optimised. Try it on a test board first. See: https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=456&t=2487136&p=1...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Image Redirect

Installation: You can install this on any release of phpBB 3.2 by following the steps below: In the `ext/` directory of your phpBB board, create a new directory named `v12mike/` (if it does not already exist) and navigate to it Create a directory 'imageredirect'. Copy the extension files into the d...
