Never mind... I found it... Must have been in the last update the $strip_varlist was changed in usercp_register, so I had to add my "extra" fields back in... $strip_var_list = array('email' => 'email', 'icq' => 'icq', 'aim' => 'aim', 'msn' => 'msn', 'yim' => 'yim', 'website' => 'website', 'location'...

New required fields

I hope someone can help me, I really messed up. My board was running great on .17, but I faithfully upgrade... I've added a few modifications so I do it all manually. Once I went to .18(and subsequently .19) my users weren't staying logged in even though they selected to be logged in automatically.....

No, I don't believe I've ever installed that mod... it's just that $topic_type isn't set when it gets to this ternary operation, and in_array reads NULL as 0, so it returns true and leaves $topic_type as is, set to NULL, but then when the SQL tries to execute, the query is incomplete.

posting.php $topic_type not getting set

I was getting an error when posting a new topic that basically boiled down to the $topic_type variable being a NULL value (not being set at all), and still passing by this recent edition to 2.18 (note that I upgraded manually, so if I made a mistake somewhere, can someone point it out) $topic_type =...

That works...

What page deals with user management? All I get is a blank page when I try and lookup the user (there must be another error somewhere)

Did you run the "update_to_latest.php" script in the install directory? That will update it for you.

Yeah, I commented it out(though it's not in the register file like you said) so my board is working again, but this little piece of code is flawed... In order for it to work for an administrator, you obviously have to be logged in, which means I can't just click on the link I received in my email, I...

OK, so I did a little digging and found the offending code... It is in the update for .16 to .17 in includes/usercp_activate.php we are supposed to add this... if (intval($board_config['require_activation']) == USER_ACTIVATION_ADMIN && $userdata['user_level'] != ADMIN) { message_die(GENERAL_MESSAGE,...

Activation Links Not Working after upgrade

I recently upgraded from .15 to the latest version (.16 then to .17). My board is set up so that I have to approve all new registrations, when I click the link that gets email to me, it simply tells me "Not Authorized". One of my co-workers also requested a password reset, and when he clicks the lin...

Do you want to make it not visible at all, or just not to anon. users? or registered users, only to admins, mods... This will do it for logged in users only... you can do something similar to make it just admins/mods etc... add this code to the memberlist.php page right after init_userprefs($userdat...
