Re: Oh my.. It happened I lost my forum..

You can restore from your backup.

If you haven't updated it in 10 years, most likely it's a version that is no longer supported here.

A fix for this can be found on Github and will be included in the 3.2.5 release:
Any estimate when we should see 3.2.5? If it's coming soon I would rather hold off on the update.

Re: iPage ignorance - help

ipage has hosted my board for the past 6 years. I've never had any problems with them other than their paid backup solution wouldn't work. I recommend backing up the board and database on a frequent basis yourself and that is all you should need. The latest phpBB versions runs fine on their servers ...

Re: Error on update

So I talked with the host and they told me that the error when trying to restore the backup was due to some files missing. I'm not sure why this was the case as Filezilla indicated to me that every file was uploaded successfully. Either way, I initiated another file restore via ftp of any missing fi...

Re: Error on update

I went on ftp and deleted all the files and re-uploaded the files from just prior to starting the upgrade. Still get a "500 Internal server error." Here is the server log attached. Are there any database changes made in the install process if you never get to the "update database" step? Thank you fo...

Re: Error on update

I used the full package ( https://www.phpbb.com/downloads/ ) and followed the instructions in the KB update article I linked above. Nothing was changed on the server side, I was running the board fine 10 minutes before doing the upgrade and made no changes with the host server settings when doing th...

Error on update

Trying to update from v3.2.1 to v3.2.3. Followed the instructions in KB article: https://www.phpbb.com/support/docs/en/3.2/kb/article/updating-32x/ On step 8 when I go to the /install file I get this error in my web browser: [phpBB Debug] "include(/hermes/bosnacweb02/bosnacweb02cg/b1496/ipg.conradjo...

The link you posted is instructions for updating, not a new clean install.

Re: [Split] Discuss: phpBB 3.2.3 Release (update problems)

If I were you I would restore the forum from backups and then go through the upgrade guide again. But this time follow each step and don't start the next step until the previous one is completed.

Re: Attachment download count not accurate

Thanks for the link, but it seems my setting are correct as recommended in that topic: In your User Control Panel, in Board Prefs / Edit display options Make sure “show images within posts” is set to Yes. There is also a global setting like that in your Admin control panel. Posting / Attachment sett...

Re: Attachment download count not accurate

I actually didn't make the post but they are standard jpeg image files. I have attached the smallest one in the example post I referenced.

Keep in mind that this has occurred in many posts where people are uploading pictures so it's not an isolated event and not just from my own personal posting.

Re: Attachment download count not accurate

See attached image of post in edit mode as requested.

I don't recall making any changes in the attachment setting of phpbb so it should be all default settings.

Attachment download count not accurate

I noticed a minor annoyance on my v3.2.1 board. The attachment download count does not seem to be accurate. It does not seem to be registering the downloads. For example, on this thread it lists the attachments in the first post as never being downloaded which is not the case: https://www.conradjohn...
