Re: Images Not Linkable

The table's name is phpbb_posts (maybe with a different prefix) and the column is post_text. Thanks for that advice. It was very helpful actually seeing how the post data is written in to the database. So, I've stumbled onto a solution. I did a full update to 3.2.7 first, but this did not cure the ...

Re: Images Not Linkable

Check out your database and post the XML for that message here. It should start with something like this: <r><URL><s>[url Also, look into your cache/production directory, find a file named like s9e_renderer_*.php and attach it here. If there's more than one file, clear your cache and try again. If ...

Re: Images Not Linkable

Go to your admin panel and clear the cache if you haven't already. Yes, always purge the cache in ACP after changes. This is the most bizarre thing. My other thought is that it's not a phpBB issue at all, hence the browser testing and perhaps it's so obvious I'm just overlooking it. Other things to...

Re: Images Not Linkable

Updated the "Advanced BBCode" extension and issue persists. Obviously the HTML is being written incorrectly. I'd upgrade to 3.2.7 but the board is being used quite heavily at the moment so would prefer an alternative. Other things to check? I've ruled out the styles and extensions, unless Prosilver ...

Re: Images Not Linkable

Is there a specific document/code that I can navigate to? Sorry, I'm still not as versed as I'd like to be on how all the code is structured and organized. No probs at all, just trying to figure out the issue. Do you have some custom BBcodes which relates to IMG or URL? I've installed the extension...

Re: Images Not Linkable

Thanks 3Di. It is a 3.2.5 issue then? It works also in 3.2.5: http://prntscr.com/oimot9 -> http://prntscr.com/oimpjg Do you have some custom CSS there? No custom CSS I added that I can recall. I think it's pretty clean and unmodified. Is there a specific document/code that I can navigate to? Sorry,...

Images Not Linkable

I've run into a bit of odd behavior when trying to link image, that I can't seem to resolve <cough> Using this combination of BBCode should result in a linkable image in the post. [url=https://www.bbcode.org/images/lubeck.jpg][img]https://www.bbcode.org/images/lubeck_small.jpg[/img][/url] On my 3.2....

Re: "Warnings" to "Alerts"

Got it. A layer of configurability on this level would upon up more possibilities to cater to different audiences certainly. I'll give the boardmagic extension a look. Sounds like it might do the trick and let me forget about problems with updates overwriting these modifications. Thanks for that.

Re: "Warnings" to "Alerts"

Too easy. Much appreciated. Another mod enhancing phpBB as a valuable teaching tool. remember that the next time you update/upgrade you will have to do it again. robert Yes, hence the need for an extension? Also, what about the PM notification that goes through to users. The subject is "Board Warni...

Re: Notifications for Warnings

Yes, easy enough to test. Notification and PM sent. I sent a warning in error, and needed to retract it in the best way possible. Ooops. Thanks for the clarification.

"Warnings" to "Alerts"

Hi All, I use PhpBB to teach college kids....for some context to my question. Anyway, trying to be positive and encouraging towards students as opposed to negatively firm, I would like to change all the instances of the word "Warnings" to "Alerts" or some other softer language. "Warnings" is so firm...

Notifications for Warnings

Quick question on functionality. If I as the admin submit a warning for a user, then delete the warning immediately through MCP. (Say the warning was an error.) The user will not see the warning correct? Probably a silly question I realize. Just want to be sure.

Thanks.
