Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

I am using the previous version of the advanced polls with phpBB 3.2.8 and have the ACP settings as follows. I don't know if it will make any difference from the settings you have, Aurelienazerty. I then adapt the poll from the settings in the post itself.

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

As I also use these polls and am interested in any problems that might arise, I'd just like to make an observation. The 'before voting' also shows 7 votes although there are only 6 names. :?

Re: Image upload problem

Thanks for your responses, focp and sakm.

I will try that suggestion, sakm and see if it resolves the issue. As the issue has only been intermittent, it may take a few days or maybe even longer to know if it's resolved. I will advise back in due course.

Thanks again!

Re: Image upload problem

Was the issue in this topic ever resolved because I occasionally have the same problem and now one of my forum members has just reported a similar issue? I find that resizing a .jpg image slightly and resaving can resolve the issue. Both myself and the other member use 'Irfanview' for resizing our i...

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

The only way to guarantee there is no repeat voting in polls is for them to be open to forum members only, that are logged in.

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

Many thanks for your response, jasolo.

I have followed your advice and it works fine. All other polls are OK. Your help is much appreciated.

Re: [3.2][BETA] Advanced Polls

I have just uploaded this latest version (1.2.3) to my forum which is running phpBB3 version 3.2.7 with the default poll but have not yet enabled it. If I enable the extension will this affect any currently active polls? Should I therefore wait until the current polls have finished before enabling? ...

Re: Fatal Error on installation commencement

Further to my problem, I can now advise that the matter is now resolved.

I deleted the files on the server and re-uploaded them using a different FTP program and successfully installed the software. It is now up and running.

Once again, thanks Robert for your response.

Re: Fatal Error on installation commencement

Thanks for your reply, Robert. I did use a dedicated FTP program for the upload, although I did think it took rather a long time to complete the upload (app 90 mins) I will try your suggestion and upload the vendor file folder again. If that fails to resolve the issue I may start again with another ...

Fatal Error on installation commencement

I have downloaded, unzipped and uploaded the entire phpBB3 folder of version 3.2.7 to my server for a brand new installation. However, after pointing my browser to the phpBB3 folder it immediately comes up with the following error on screen: Fatalerror: Uncaught exception 'InvalidArgumentException' ...

Re: Acknowledgement email being sent to admin rather than sender

I have now resolved this issue. There had been an auto-responder message set for that particular email account on the server which was sending out the message.

Thanks for all your help/advice on the matter.

Re: Acknowledgement email being sent to admin rather than sender

The copy email was delivered against the logged in one. Apologies for saying it wasn't in the last post.

However, the 3.1.9 was a completely new install (not update) about six weeks ago so I don't know how the code could be wrong as I haven't made any changes to it.

Re: Acknowledgement email being sent to admin rather than sender

I acknowledge Rich's comment about the tick box, and this was ticked in the test I did logged in. Obviously it wasn't there for the 'guest' one but a second email (both as in my original post) was generated. In both cases they all went to the admin inbox and a copy of the actual email, when logged i...

Re: Acknowledgement email being sent to admin rather than sender

I am only using what is part of the phpBB 3.1.9 set-up. The two images below show: (1) the messages that arrived in my inbox at the same time - one pair was as an unsigned in 'guest' and the other pair as a signed in member. (@domain details have been removed by me) (2) the 'Contact Us' form that is...

Re: Acknowledgement email being sent to admin rather than sender

You seem to have missed my point. A 'guest' is sending an email, for whatever purpose, from the 'Contact Us' link on the forum which opens a form for them to fill in including their email address. The email is sent to the 'admin@mydomain.com' address and arrives in the 'admin@mydomain.com' inbox acc...
