phpBB and BBCode table tags

I'm confused about tables in phpBB. My understanding is that BBCode officially supports a [table] tag (see here ), and phpBB supports BBCode (see here ), yet for some reason phpBB doesn't support the [table] tag. My forum supports spoiler codes. Hiding "This board has no forums"

All the forums on my board are hidden to guests. When the board is viewed by someone who is not logged-in, they see the message "This board has no forums." That message is inaccurate, and I would like to change it or eliminate it completely. How can I do that?
