Re: Discuss: Blog post about phpBB 3.0.6 plans

Any idea how much the smiles might be cut down? I have quite a few on my board, and I have not noticed any trouble with them. But if they are going to be cut down, maybe I should start going through them. Any idea how much? We are talking a few thousand, more than any sane person needs imo. ;) You ...

Re: Guess Timezone 2

I love this mod. Only thing i dont understand is the automatic bit. Before this mod will work for any of my users they have to go to ucp and press "guess timezone" its not automatically. ideally it would just be set at the browser time unless another setting was choosen in ucp. Have i ins...

Re: In-line Login

From a PM I received: As a new moderator to my computer group I can tell you also that our aministrator is also inexperianced at phpbb. We have a situation of missing posts and hope your login.zip will retify the problem. At the risk of sounding silly, I must ask how do you install your login.zip? W...

Re: Guess Timezone 2

Hmmm - it seems to work for me when I'm logged in. I registered and then viewed my profile - the timezone it had recorded was correct. I changed it from UTC - 6 to UTC, saved, and then tried to have it detect my settings, again, and... it did so without a problem. The "Use browser timezone sett...

It'd be difficult to comment without being able to see functions.php. Please use the

Re: Guess Timezone 2

What's the URL to your board? If I have the same problem, it's a server-side issue that should be easy enough to fix. If I can't reproduce the problem on your own board, it's likely a client-side issue that'll be a tad harder to debug (esp. since I wouldn't be able to reproduce it).

Re: Your opinions on the TPB trial (The pirate Bay)

Can't TPB founders be tried in absentia in the countries where TPB would be illegal? Failing that, a warrant could be issued. They wouldn't be served until they entered the host country, but once it was served, they could, afaik, be held, pending a trial whose outcome would, presumably, be fairly ce...

Re: Internet Explorer Security Flaw

You can't install programs on limited, no? Isn't it a pain to have two user accounts and to switch over them? Yes another reason why even seasoned users may not do so, there are solutions to some of the problems. But the underlying issue is its just a major PITA. In my experience, the most limiting...

Re: [2.0.18] Block Open Proxy Registrants

Question, as a test I used software on my PC called Hide My IP which changes my IP address, and I was able to register on my site even though the Proxy mod is enabled. I even did a check on this IP and it said no proxy servers detected. Wasn't it suppose to detect this IP? I used the IP address: 21...

Eep - I never saw your post. Yes - that's the last version and it does indeed work in 3.0.4. Sorry about not replying earlier.

Re: [code] enhancements

Was fiddling around and noticed the print.css is called on every page. Could you not then remove the white-space: pre-wrap; white-space: -moz-pre-wrap; white-space: -pre-wrap; white-space: -o-pre-wrap; word-wrap: break-word; from within content.css for the dl.code pre css as it is already defined i...
