Re: Offline v2 - v3 upgrade - lost thumbnails and avatars

Had to rename all the thumbnails from t_*.* to thumb_*.* and move them from the files/thumbs directory to the files directory. I used:

Code: Select all

rename 's/t_/thumb_/g' t_*.*
Still no joy with the avatars though.

Offline v2 - v3 upgrade - lost thumbnails and avatars

I had to do an offline conversion of my v2.0.22 database due to restrictions on my web host's side. This transferred all the topic and post information ok, but all the old attachment thumbnails and avatars are gone. Oddly, the links to attachments are working ok, only the thumbs are blank. Files upl...

Re: Custom BBCodes

Hello, I have a problem with adding custom BBcode: Bbcode: [img-right]{TEXT}[/img-right] HTML: <a href="http://www.site.com/photo/{TEXT}-big.jpg" class="thickbox"><img src="http://www.site.com/photo/{TEXT}-sq.jpg" style="border-color: rgb(119, 119, 119);" class="imgmargin" align="right" border="1" ...

Seems to be working, including curl! Only issue I've had was that the CREATE TABLE SQL command in the installation instructions is missing the include_content field. My SQL is next to non-existent, but I think the command should be: CREATE TABLE phpbb_newsfeeds ( feed_id smallint(5) unsigned NOT NUL...

I wonder if some kind soul would like to like to modify the chat stats add-on to use curl instead of fopen? I had a look, but I'm a bit out of my depth I'm afraid.

It's a layout rather than a theme, I made the same mistake.

For those of you who are interested. The ChatStats mod does work. You just have to change the original http addy included in the ChatStats code change instructions. Either alter the code for the line shown below when installing, or open your index.php and do the following change if you already have...

Still can't get an updated zip from that address, but I've inserted the line manually and it works perfectly. You're a legend Draknek, many thanks!

Cheers Drak, and glad I could help with the other stuff. I've downloaded http://ezboard-conv.sf.net/latest.zip again but it seems to be the same version - is the updated one somewhere else?

I'm afraid I think I have another problem for you, Drak. I noticed that my test forum was always showing the same entry for the author and last post (I'm using your latest.zip version). Checking into the database showed that the first post ID and last post ID entries were always the same value. At t...

Thanks for your reply. I changed a post's details manually in phpMyAdmin as a test and it works fine, but I wouldn't know how to begin changing the script to do it automatically. 8O I think I'll look for a workaround...

Another quick question on this: I did a test conversion of a board the other night and it worked exactly as it should, but the logistics of giving several hundred users their password and logins to the new board is a nightmare. What I'd prefer is to have all the transitioned posts attributed to name...
