Re: Windows 7 is behind you! Yawnn...

I hope they fail and fall into a black hole they have steped towards since vista. I have a feeling this release will do much better than Vista. They're basically taking Vista and adding additional features and support (hardware support) that should have originally been there in Vista. With Vista SP...

Re: Ubuntu

But I personally don't think having to install a Windows NIC driver ranks as a fatal problem. 8-) It's not. But it's nice not having to. :P But unlike Windows, [K]Ubuntu seems sensitive to display and resolution changes. Nvidia is the main card supported with Ubuntu. ATI isn't always so great to us...

I noticed that too in 8.04. It detected my Linksys wireless USB, and connected automatically. For Windows, I have to install a driver from a CD. *pff*

[Split] How can phpBB be free?

Actually, the Bertie is currently being sold right around the break-even cost, meaning we make no profit from it. I noticed you say "we" a lot, even if something has nothing to do with you. This makes it read as if you are one of the people responsible for handling the Bertie sales, and you are als...

Re: Windows 7 is behind you! Yawnn...

Oh, yes. The taskbar is a bit too high in my opinion. I liked it where it was just a bit below the level of the Windows start button. And the Quick Launch icons are huge. I hope they change those things. It looks like a new Media Player might come out for it too. The calculator looks better. Paint a...

Re: My forum got Destroyed

Update: I got the forum up, but the restore isnt working properly. How long does it usually take? Hi, I'm glad you got 3.0. 2 installed. Restoring depends on how big the file is that you're working with, but since it's uploaded to your site and restoring to your site, the time should be cut down so...

Re: My forum got Destroyed

ThePatriot, here is what I would suggest. I've done this to my forums in the past, and it works. 1. Delete your forums completely including your database and your database user, keeping your backup file, and don't worry about the config.php 2. Build a new database (e.g. MySQL), a user for that datab...

I just looked at their site but couldn't find any recent pics. Could you post them, please?

Re: How can phpBB be free?

Costs are covered through sponsors who use phpBB as a base for their advertisement, as well as selling the cute Bertie bear.

I love subSilver. Its so much better than proSilver. My users use sub over pro, 7:3.
