Re: Fatal Error

I can't purge the cache because I can't log in to my board. I'm not seeking Mod support, just how to get my board back up and running. Thanks.

Fatal Error

After updating to 3.0.7 a few months back I decided I'd like to reinstall my AJAX shout box. I edited the files as directed and when I tried to go to my forum home site to finish the install I got an error message stating the database had already been created, which is true since my previous databas...

Another typical question

Currently running version 3.0.0. I want to upgrade to the most current. Do I need to do an incremental upgrade or can I go strait from 3.0.0 to 3.0.5? If I do need an incremental can someone please point me to where I can download the incremental updates? Thanks.

Editing permissions..........headache!!!

I'm trying to edit a groups permissions so that a group can access a forum that is inside a category that is normally restricted to them. Other forums inside the category are restricted from view. 've tried editing group and individual permissions for this restricted group (and individuals) to have ...

Re: Setting permissions headache........aagghhh

First, make sure that the user Anonymous does not have any Never permissions and is a member of the Guests group and no other. Then In Groups forum permissions, assign a Read-only role to the Guests group for each forum you wish them to see. That got it. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Beers are o...

Setting permissions headache........aagghhh

Ok, trying to get it so that guests (non-registered members) can view my forum. I've been up and down the permission, from Forum permission to groups permission and everything in between, but cannot get it so that guests can view the topics. What gives? Thanks.

Re: Changing database question (general error)

OK. Will do. If it matters, I just went to log back into my site that I was getting the "General Error" and it's working now. Maybe just needed a break or something???? Anyway, all is working ok now. Thanks to everyone.

Re: Changing database question (general error)

The default style specified in the config table is not installed. Edit the config table to specify a prosilver default and make sure the override user style is set to Yes (1). OK, I'm not real sure on what you mean. This is what my config file looks like: <?php // phpBB 3.0.x auto-generated configu...

Changing database question (general error)

OK, like many people I have my primary forum, then a secondary that I perform all my mods and tests on before applying them to my main forum. Recently I deleted my secondary and thought I'd just upload my primary, rename it, change the config file to my secondary database and all would be good. Inst...

Re: Add a link the overall_header.html

Add a link the overall_header.html

I'd like to add a link. I think I've found the line to edit <li class="icon-faq"><a href="{U_FAQ}" title="{L_FAQ_EXPLAIN}">{L_FAQ}</a></li> I'm going to add a link to a calender. I borrowed the following line from an Ajax mod but how should I edit it to display "Calendar" and add the link to the off...
