Re: White page bug?

I think you may be right. I will pursue it with them.

Thanks.

Re: White page bug?

I couldn't see any that referrred to php files. These are the ones from this morning apart from dozens more of repeated lines about the missing.html file. [Sun Oct 26 08:58:23 2008] [emerg] mod_fcgid: server is restarted, 27240 must exit [Sun Oct 26 09:07:28 2008] [error] [client 82.152.251.124] Pre...

Re: White page bug?

Interesting. Not sure if these are relevant but there are lots of errors relating to a missing missing.html (!) file, plus some called from phpBB where there are missing smilies - see below: [Sat Oct 25 22:50:04 2008] [error] [client 209.85.238.10] File does not exist: /mnt/local/home/acklam/www.bra...

White page bug?

12 hours ago my forum was working fine, but now I am getting white pages on all except the opening page. Every link and even the ACP just bring up a white page. From previous postings I suspect this may be a cache problem, but I am not sure how to resolve it as I can't get in to the ACP. Board's URL...

Moving to a new server

Does the article for moving a phpBB 2 board to a new server at http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/how-to- ... ew-server/ also hold good for a v3 board - or are there any variations to be aware of?

Re: New install can't see functions.php

Excellent. Fresh download, fresh upload - and it all worked straight out of the box.

Thanks both for getting me to look in the right places.

Brf wrote:Ah. Here it is.... on line 151 of install/index.php. How did that get up to your root directory?
Interesting. You're right. Looks as though that's got corrupted somehow.

I might just start again with a fresh download and a fresh install.

Thanks guys.

Re: New install can't see functions.php

I assume you set the chmod permissions on the file to 644 and 755 for the directory? I didn't change the CHMOD permissions on that file or directory - just set store/, cache/, files/ and images/avatars/upload/ to 777 and config.php to 666. But, yes, Includes is currently set to 755 and functions.ph...

Re: New install can't see functions.php

Is it the forum link in your profile? If so, it might have something to do with the redirect you have from your top-level directory into your /phpBB3/ directory. No, this is on a new server and a new domain - at http://www.sellindge.net/phpBB3/ The other boards have installed without problem - that...

Re: New install can't see functions.php

Delete it on the server and try reuploading it and make sure it was uploaded in ASCII/text mode. If it still doesn't work try another FTP program like Filezilla since SmartFTP has problems at times. Thanks for the suggestion. Tried that (deleted it and reuploaded a new functions.php, which I took f...

New install can't see functions.php

I have completed a fresh install of another new board and, while apparently successful, it won't then open at the Board Index. It seems not to be able to see functions.php in the includes folder. Warning: require(./../includes/functions.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or...

Re: Login problem

Glad it has been solved for you, but my cookie domain (as set in the ACP) has two dots and I still have a user with the problem - when using IE (it's OK when he uses Firefox).

Re: Login problem

Interesting, I have just had this reported by a user on my site too. He's using Vista and IE - has his security settings at Medium and the domain as a trusted site.
