Website issue

I've been trying to recover my account for a while now. The user "eqsanctum" is me. For whatever reason, maybe it's an old email I'm not sure, is there a recovery process I need to go through, that I've missed to be able to validate and recover the account? This is me here : https://www.phpbb.com/co...

Re: Problem editing VIEWFORUM_BODY.HTML

Shouldn't we be doing this under it's own style with inheriting? I'm no expert but I remember you can throw it in a copy of the style without editing anything core at all now. yes, that is true and it is really the best way to handle style edits. that way you don't lose the changes everytime you up...

That did it. Thanks a bunch Paul. Glad you guys are here answering the questions. Thanks to the support of others, my questions, though long and drawn out, were small. Much appreciated may mark it as solved any time

Unless you have a problem - then just leave them at the default settings
That pretty much works. As an example, I disable bots searching attachment forums. This keeps direct linking at a pretty good low for me.

Re: Bot's Permissions

Bots are like google's bot indexing your site to show up in searches. You can decide what they can or can not see through permissions. You can even decide which style they use :)

The permissions are completely up to you.

Re: upgrade to 3.2 reversion issue to disable extenstions

Are you using a non English language pack? If so, is it compitable with 3.2? :) No sir. Downloaded the full install version after everything. Before I was unable to access the adm it showed up properly and I chose to not use the adlinks or cloudflare support. After I got to the point I'm at it now ...

Re: upgrade to 3.2 reversion issue to disable extenstions

Thanks Paul, that helped a lot. I got it upgraded and the 3.2 files in place. Right now going over extension by extension trying to piece it all back together. The only error I see so far is the phpbb help section in general on the bottom now says "ACP_HELP_PHPBB" like the language file is bad. Any ...

Re: upgrade to 3.2 reversion issue to disable extenstions

Update: I reinstalled a manual full install of 3.1. Was able to disable the extensions a bit faster. I had to have ftp open after removing the ext folder to see the customize tab in the ACP. I redeposited each extension by author one at a time to get them all disabled. The extension that was at the...

upgrade to 3.2 reversion issue to disable extenstions

After reading the forums extensively, I'm now in a reversion process to disable all of my extensions while in the middle of the backup. I'm very frustrated. With that, please give me some lee-way if I appear short in my responses. It is not intended. I did the update without a backup. At least not w...
