No, I don't allow guest postings and I have my own little tricks to get rid from spam and bots; don't even remember when was the last time I was fighting them 8-)

Thanks for your reply Jim. The most users I ever had online, based on "Who is online" box at the bottom of the front page, is 190. This is the peak dated August 2007. Not sure about the average number of concurrent visitors. Unfortunately I do not know how many other sites are located on the shared ...

I cannot claim that my forum is very active. I have about 250 registered users and about 2500 articles. At the same time I know that vast majority of my visitors prefer not to register. While trying to submit previous posting my browser hanged for few minurtes and then I got "Database critical error" message. As the result of this the last messages appeared 5 times. I do no have enough priviledges to delete these duplicate messages. Hopefully forum moderator will take care of them....

To vrflyer You probably have the same registry setting as was mentioned earlier in this thread? Anyway, the next build of ForumStatus will contain "custom" balloon that will not be affected by XP balloon blocker.
