Denote banned IP in "log connections" mod

I'd have replied to the mod topic, but it seems to be locked. https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?f=69&t=1069785 Excellent mod, works great for us. I'm wondering if anyone's modified it to denote whether the IP listed on the log page already matches any of the existing banned IP rules of t...

Manually update administrator logs

Under the "General" tab, the default starting page for the ACP, there's a section labeled "Logged administrator actions" with the last few entries from the log. I'd like to have a textarea and a button there that I can use to manually add entries to that log. That way I can easily note something lik...

Re: Public figures group

I have no issues with altering the code, I'm just trying to get an idea of how best to utilize the existing permissions before I get in there and start altering. Want to make sure I haven't overlooked anything. :)

Public figures group

I'm looking to have a setup where individual profiles require users to be registered to view, the memberlist requires administrative permission to view, and the listing for a specific "Public Figures" group is visible to everyone. What's the closest to that setup I can get using existing settings/pe...

Re: Resetting the View Count to Zero

Because there are other things that being able to zero views helps with, so I get multiple things accomplished with little work.

Re: Resetting the View Count to Zero

Nice to know I can reset views with a simple query. I was worried there would be an inconsistency somewhere if I just zeroed out the topic_views column manually. It does come in handy with a new board where I want to setup various FAQ style topics before the board is made public. I can set them up, ...

Current Max forum and group limits?

I came across some topics from 2008 putting a realistic limit to the number of forums at a few hundred. There were mentions of the permission system becoming a bottleneck. I'm curious, considering the database in the current version of phpBB uses a medium int, if that's changed now in 2012. Here's w...

Re: IP Ban with Ranges

Thanks for the mention. I'm sure someone will come across this thread one day and take the CPanel/mod_authz_host/mod_access route. :) Truth be told, I think the behavior I described may be a bug. I want to make sure I'm not doing something silly before I bug the bug guys with another bug though. The...

Re: IP Ban with Ranges

In this case there are multiple people who manage IP bans on the forum, and one person who manages the server configuration. The forum's built-in ban functionality makes it easy for everyone to keep track of who's banned for what and for how long.

IP Ban with Ranges

When I ban an IP address range it adds a bunch of wildcard entries to the list, and then it adds 256 entries for the end. For instance if I want to ban a section of Amazons AWS using the following range, 75.101.128.0-75.101.255.255 I end up with wildcards for 128.* through 254.* and then it adds an ...

Re: Elapsed time in posts

I put together a quick Javascript based hack that serves my purpose. In viewtopic_body.html before "<!-- BEGIN postrow -->" I added the following. <script type="text/javascript"> var elapsed_time = { rough_age: function(size) { var suffixes = { Years : '31536000', Months : '2592000', Weeks : '604800...

Elapsed time in posts

I'm looking for something that will include the elapsed time since the original post in a thread, and the elapsed time since the previous reply to the thread, in every reply with the posts timestamp. So, the first reply (2nd post) would have the timestamp, and the elapsed time since the first post. ...

Re: Highlight From Search Engine

Hi Neuropass, be sure to "Clear Cache" from the ACP index after installing the MOD.

I just double checked the code for phpBB 3.0.6 and it doesn't look like anything has changed that would break this MOD. Not to mention, iftitaj appears to have it working for them as well. :)

Report User MOD ?

Is there a mod that will add a button to a users profile, and possibly somewhere near their username in posts to report that user ?

Exactly how reporting posts works, but for users.
