Re: phpBB shrinking?

In the past during the phpBB 2.0.x era, Acyd Burn and the rest of the developers would consistently release a new update every 2 months (not exact, but pretty close). Also in the past during that era, phpBB 2 had several infamous security vulnerabilities, such as in the keyword highlighting code. T...

Re: phpBB & Structured Data (Google search)

Looking at the markup examples, I'm not sure how to implement this How about linking to it in the first place? Also keep in mind Google is not the only search engine and it is unlikely phpBB will implement vendor specifics. It's not vendor specific. Take a look. Other search engines are parsing thi...

I like this solution.

Sideways photos is one of the most annoying problems with digital photography and screen display. :x

Re: Best way to see how much traffic phpbb forum will handle?

Will it be 25 simultaneous users or 2500? Just some idea would be great. (and we are on a shoestring budget!) Closer to 25 than 2,5000. I did a chat session with Hostgator tonight, and asked them the same thing, as I thought they'd be the best place to start. Their support rep's answer was, "Sorry,...

Why do you care so much? Don't you have something better to do than harass the volunteers who run this site?

Re: Do we have a phpBB duty to help 'Joe Bloggs'?

The big difference is here is that the people behind Facebook, Yahoo, iPhone, and Mac OS get paid big bucks to make their product as user-friendly as possible-- and the more people they get using it, the more revenue they bring in. :D

That's not the case here with phpBB. :?

Re: Discuss: phpBB to ship with VigLink extension

If all users donated $5, then we wouldn't have a problem. The reality is that unfortunately donations are never as forthcoming as people hope. Wikipedia famously states during their donation drive that if everyone reading their website at that particular moment gave $3, they would immediately hit t...
