Re: Discuss: phpBB 3.3.1 Release

Is this the right place to mention bugs?
I just found a little bug - the "online" banner is now behind the avatar - which doesnt look that nice, especially with very wide avatar pics. Would be better to have the banner in front of the avatar like before.

Re: [3.3][RC] Filter by country - version 1.0.15

Actually, the more I think about it, all Ajax requests should not be counted in the statistics. phpBB uses Ajax for things like notifications, moderation, installation, recreating search indexes, etc. So that's the approach I will use which will also take care of extensions that use it, like mChat....

Re: [3.3][RC] Filter by country - version 1.0.15

Thank you for reporting the issue. Apparently I didn't think through the logic for when the countries are allowed properly. It needs to reflect the logic for when countries are rejected. So in /event/main_listener.php change line 285 from: Thanks! Now it works! @all: Remember to clear board cache, ...

Re: [3.3][RC] Filter by country - version 1.0.15

What are the IP(s) involved? You can test MaxMind's evaluation of an IP here: https://www.maxmind.com/en/geoip-demo/ this doesnt matter. I used on purpose via vpn a swiss and czech ip which are blocked in my configuartion. As a have selected yes for "Allow registered users to login from restricted ...

Re: [3.3][RC] Filter by country - version 1.0.15

nope. Just cleared all stats and used a czech and swiss vpn for testing (and accessed the forum properly). Thats a screenshot what a I see in the stats. I think this is not correct, and the czech and swiss visits should have been counted into "Allowed page requests from restricted countries" and not...

Re: [3.3][RC] Filter by country - version 1.0.15

ah, I know what boosts the page requests in my stats. I am using the popular mchat-module: https://www.phpbb.com/customise/db/extension/mchat_extension/ Mchat refreshes itself every 5 seconds (standard is 10), nevertheless this means that every 5 (10) seconds every user will generate an new page req...

Re: [3.3][RC] Filter by country - version 1.0.13

now with version 13 the statistics seem to be better. And according to the stats I guess that VPN and restricted access is now counted correct. Although the total numbers are still way to high. Now I have two other issues. (by the way - is this here the right place to ask for support, or should I wr...

Re: [3.3][RC] Filter by country - version 1.0.13

Thanks for your testing and I must say those are impressive statistics that you are collecting. I gather there are no issues like those recently reported and you made the recent bug fixes. Not sure about that, I used Version 1.0.12 until yesterday and updated now to 1.0.13. Page request seems to be...

Re: [3.3][RC] Filter by country - version 1.0.13

I've got an idea for improvement or I guess have found a bug: The statistics is very nice, but probably wrong: I have blocked all countries except germany. Additionally I have activated the option to allow registered users acces from restricted countries. I know that some users use vpn and therefore...

I know. There is actually not that urgent for me. But nevertheless we are talking of workarounds. If solved it would be a lot more user-friendly

Re: easier moving of posts

thanks for the hint with the arrow. this helps. Nevertheless I would be nice the the sorting would be automatically the same according to my personal preferences. In fact I dont care about the sorting that much, if I would land at the page where the post is. I'll open a ticket in github for that. I ...

Re: easier moving of posts

Thats what I thought too, but there seems to be a bug. My settings in sorting the posts is descending by date (newest first), Admin-Standard in the backend seems to be oldest first - so I do not land at the page where the selected post is

easier moving of posts

Is there a way of easier moving posts from one topic into another? Right now it is quite complicated to move posts, especially if you have topics with lots of pages. Clicking on the mod-button (move post) jumps in the moderator mode, but then you have to scroll for ages to find the post you would li...

Re: How can I replace/fill empty post subjects?

Nah, unfortunately I have around 6k of posts with no or only "Re:" as post subject - spread over many topics. And I dont want to touch the posts in a topic that have "valid" post subjects. This can happen in merged topics - I would prefer that all other post topics stay like they are. What I need is...
