Which version are you using? The one in the mod db? Or the one from my signature?
You can always just remove the block from it's .tpl file, if you can't find any other way. Just make sure you only remove the table containing the search block, and leave everything else.

What you should do, is open up nav_start_a.tpl in notepad, and take a look at the code there. You'll see a bunch of html. Simply copy the blocks (individual tables each time, of the type "forumline") and alter one to your desire. Add it where you like between the others, and add a new line...
The only pages i can remember having issues were error pages, and such like. These pages use simple_header.tpl, and I never managed to find where they were referenced or I'd fix that issue

Hmm, yep, it's just a missing semicolon... I never noticed a problem before, and I haven't touched the lang file in quite a while... I wonder where that came from...
I don't know why you're having issues with the language file, I've never seen a problem with it. I deliberately put the mod's language strings in their own file to avoid errors, and to keep all the code together. Could you try finding the specific line that causes your error? I'm sure it's just one ...

I'm guessing it's one of the two mods that are installed that's the problem, try removing each of them in turn and see if that fixes the problem. If it doesn't, try using only the navbar mod.
