Re: How do you upload styles to a forum?

Ok, that must be the problem, because I am pretty sure I have it uploaded right. A few years ago I did an awful lot of work with phpBB, and wondered if the latest versions changed something in the few years I've been away. I will try to find a style that is specifically for my version. Thanks so muc...

Re: How do you upload styles to a forum?

Hi JimA, I followed your instructions (downloaded the Style, uploaded the folder via ftp to my ../styles folder on my forums, and gone back to the Customize Tab and clicked the menu option "Install Styles"), and get the message "No uninstalled styles detected." I am using phpBB v. 3.1.9 and am tryin...

Re: [DEV] Email Digests

Hi Mark,

I've been using your Digests mod pretty much since you created it. I'd be happy to be a beta tester for you.

Thanks for taking the time to do this!

Re: ACP Add User MOD

Remember that the MOD automatically generates a password for the user, they can then login and change the password themselves. The ability to set a Password will come in the next version, the password field will be optional and will set a random password by default if the field is not filled. Hi......

Hmm.... this is a design feature that is really making my users mad, since they have to retype the entire subject line each time. Some have said it deters them from posting at all because of the extra work. Why is this a feature and not a bug? Can you recommend where in the posting.php page I can fo...

No Subject line when hitting reply

Hi, I just noticed a problem with my forums: When I'm replying to an existing post on the forums, the reply screen does not grab the subject of the message I'm replying to and put it in the subject line of my reply. However, when I click the "Quote" button to quote and reply to a message, THEN it gr...

I've tried with both Firefox and IE and get the same lack of HTML from the search engine.

Ok, my search of "phpbb" is clearly a stop word. However, I'm trying to find "subject line reply missing", none of which should be stop words, and I still get a blank screen back (no html). I'm also searching on "all search terms" to narrow it down, but still get this problem. Guess I'll just have t...

Seach Engine doesn't work??

I can't seem to get the search function of these forums to work! I don't want to post a message if it has already been answered, so I'm trying to search for certain keywords. When I type in my keywords and search, all I get back is a completely blank page (no html at all). Sometimes when I type just...

Where is EasyMod upgrade

Hey guys, I can never seem to find the correct thread on these forums on which AcidByrn posts the nice EasyMod upgrade from the latest version to the newest (2.0.17 -> 2.0.18 ). Would someone be kind enough to post the link to that topic or thread so I can download the EasyMod upgrade instructions/c...

Great MOD!! Saved me so much time (I administer 9 installations of phpBB!!). Only one with a problem, and that seems to have been a previous mod that was the culprit.

Thanks!!!

PERFECT! Thanks! I will bookmark that forum so I don't have to ask again. Looks like it takes a few days to get the easymod version, but in the future I'm definitely willing to wait!

Is there an EasyMod file for the 2.0.14 upgrade?

Hi, I have a bunch of different heavily modded boards that I run. I would really like to use the PATCH version of the upgrade from 2.0.13 to 2.0.14. However, I am not running on a Unix or Linux server. I'm running all these forums on a Windows 2003 Server. Reading the instructions for the PATCH upgr...

Just to let you know my results, I am pretty sure the problem here was the anti-spyware software CounterSpy. Why don't you ban these users? Set the permissions to registered and they can't login to post but they can read the topics as guests Oh, heh, I guess I never explained. On our boards, we 1. Don't want guests to read anything 2. Want our Limited Paying members to read everything 3. Want our Full Pay...
