Re: Discuss phpBB 3.0.7-PL1 released

That's correct. The files were checked out from a git repository, not an SVN repository, ergo there is no keyword replacement. The only problem about this is that user installing the 3.0.7-PL1 will not have the exactly same files as the one who will have updated from 3.0.7, will make a lot files to...

Re: Help needed on approuving a post, error message

Cotp wrote:I am using http://forum.cineastes.com (no www)
if you weren't, http://www.forum.cineastes.com would not work. So the www prefix is indeed set, and you would lose cookie based session on it if using forum.cineastes.com as a cookie domain (since you do not redirect that dupe).

Re: Help needed on approuving a post, error message

If it was wrong, copt's forum would always have sid in urls. The thing is the second example in the KB article is not universal, because if you use forum.example.com as your cookie domain (no dot), you won' t be able to use it in example.com or in -www.example.com, which you may want. Using .example...

Re: Help needed on approuving a post, error message

Try removing the leading dot on that cookie domain. Sorry, but what it this supposed to change to the matter ? Do you know the meaning of that dot here ? Being authorized is not the same as being logged, I assume that copt would have noticed if he had additionally been logged out. since SEO screws ...

Re: Access Forbidden!

I was just trying to help, and I saw you posted there also. It's just that there is a bug report posted in the other one, so it's good to follow on that issue.

Re: [RC] Ultimate Points 1.0.4

Hello, I like this mod, so do not take offense about what follows, but I found several optimization issues with it. First, i don't really get why there is a POINTS_VALUES_TABLE with only one row, all these could be stored in the POINTS_CONFIG_TABLE IMHO. Then, the point config should reasonably only...

Re: phpbb_acl_options table and auth_option field

The issue is now be fixed in svn : http://www.phpbb.com/bugs/phpbb3/ticket ... t_id=41835
And with the UNIQUE Key and a brilliant fix for duplicated auth_options.
Was a tricky edgy one, but I feel better now, good work.

Re: phpbb_acl_options table and auth_option field

Just felled on another circumstances where duplicated entries could be added, after a member in my site did face the issue. He just restored a db backup without clearing the tables, everything was pretty much added again instead of being restored. So in that case it was obvious, but if someone would...

Acyd Burn replied : http://www.phpbb.com/bugs/phpbb3/ticket ... post142975

So we have an answer about the main matter, the auth_option field is indeed meant to be unique !

Re: phpbb_acl_options table and auth_option field

That's the whole point about it, if there are no reason to use duplicated auth_option keys, then a UNIQUE key on that filed is just a strong and cheap self defense trick, that can save many many time to even very very few people. Since it's just a minor tweak in the db structure, it's IMO worth it e...

Re: phpbb_acl_options table and auth_option field

This topic must be cursed  Too bad. I know there is nothing really urgent here, but the duplicated auth_option key matter is, IMHO, a critical one since it's really complex to fix authorisations when you'd find out that duplicated auth key where accidentally added ages ago. Of course, I won't b...
