Re: [SOLVED] phpBB error on password reset

Sorry - probably a daft question but where do I download the two fixed files? I can't see an obvious download link on Github.

Thanks

Re: Upgrade to 3.3.0 gives blank page - only for old user accounts

Presumably you disabled the extension (not plug in) then removed any data and deleted the files, or did you just disable it? Sorry extension.. (I use wordpress too so thats where plugins come from!) I believe I will have disabled the extension, deleted data, removed any files from ext folder. But t...

Re: Upgrade to 3.3.0 gives blank page - only for old user accounts

Ok, I'm getting closer. Seems PHP wasn't reporting all errors. I've corrected that and I can now see its to do with a rogue plugin: [28-Feb-2020 13:48:02 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Symfony\Component\DependencyInjection\Exception\ServiceNotFoundException: You have requested a non-existent service...

Go into the users table and post here the first 10 characters of a password for an old user and a new user. Also tell us your php version.
Hi,
Passwords:
$2y$10$ioi - Old User

$2y$10$MEi - New User

Version: PHP 7.3

Thanks

A wild guess, perhaps persistent cookies? Try clearing browser cookies + browser cache and changing the cookie name.
Thanks. Forgot to add I have changed cookie name twice. Cleared browser cache, tried Chrome, IE, Opera and incognito modes. Tried desktop and mobile browsers.

Thanks, yes I’ve just double checked there and groups are still correct, members are still in the correct group.

Upgrade to 3.3.0 gives blank page - only for old user accounts

So I’ve recently upgraded to 3.3.0 using the full recommended route (delete most files, upload full package etc.) previous version was 3.2.7 Since then my admin account and existing user accounts can not login, a blank page is presented to them. No errors in error logs. However, guests can view the ...

Re: [3.2][3.3][RC] Thanks for posts (and optional Tapatalk integration)

Ok. Ignore the above. No sooner had I posted it I figured it out. For those who might be having a similar issue. You need to define the colour of the icon as well. In my case I needed to edit colours.css and add in the following CSS: .post-buttons .fa-thumbs-up { color: #4267B2; } It was displaying,...

Re: [3.2][3.3][RC] Thanks for posts (and optional Tapatalk integration)

Hi, Got this installed and working ok. However I have an issue with the Thanks button not showing correctly. I am sure its a CSS issue but can't figure out what. I am using a metro_blue theme. Copied the plugin styles and rename metro_blue. I can confirm it works fine in mobile view. In desktop view...

Re: One Click Spam Clean Up

The first and last can already be done in the admin panel with one click. The merits of adding to ban lists are dubious as the bots rarely use the same IP or email twice and the bigger those lists get, the slower your registration page gets as it has to check enormous ever growing lists of 3 sets o...

Re: PHPBB - Global Spam Blocking

I think a few very simple steps could be implemented to prevent any of the concerns above. Who will host? I was assuming phpbb since they currently host extensions etc. and since it’s in their own interest to offer a secure spam free forum system. What if someone blocks someone they don’t like? Only...

One Click Spam Clean Up

A simple link in the user profile for admin and moderators - Spam Clean Up.

This would then delete all posts, block IP, block email address, block username, delete account. All with the click of a button.

Re: Cyberbots

You can try that question captcha, or the sortables captcha in my signature or take it up a notch and go CIDRAM which is far, far more powerful with its ability to use the Stop Forum Spam database, AbuseIPDB database, the blocking of nefarious IPs, etc. I use both CIDRAM and the free version of Nin...
