Re: Valid email rejected as too short

Very odd this one as it is working OK now.

User supplied 3 emails, I tested all 3 and they all gave the error.

Now it's OK.

Some sort of software glitch somewhere I suppose.

Thanks for the replies.

Valid email rejected as too short

A user just contact me because phpBB 3 is rejecting his valid email for registration.

XXXXXX@primus.ca

Error:
"The e-mail address you entered is too short."

Now .ca is a valid domain so am I missing something here.

Thanks!

Re: [BETA]RSS News Ticker 0.1.1

I have found a bug, if the feed only contains 1 item on the first cycle (to next headline) it displays 'undefinded'. After first cycle it's OK, just cycles the single headline as it should. Any ideas, basically a news ticker for the actual forum it's being used on - a new forum that is currently emp...

Re: Latest news thing

I wrote this for my website. It's simple but it works for me. Hope this helps you. :) Just made a few changes to your code and it does the job for me, it now extracts the last 10 articles and creates a link back to the forum, including a hover over to the article content. <?php //change this to ref...

Re: Latest news thing

Just a silly question, but isn't this a simple MySQL query if you know the location of the data? On another site I have an XMB Forum installed and this is the query that gets the last 5 posts to use in a latest forum theads box on this page CenterStage SELECT t.lastpost, t.tid, t.subject FROM xmb_th...

Re: Latest news thing

Just what I was looking for...

I have a new site I am creating and I want to show the most recent forum posts in a box, similar to the home page of this site.

Re: Any plans for an XMB to phpBB3 convertor?

I second that, I have a busy XMB 1.9.6 board I want to convert at some stage, but even the phpBB 2 converters are for much older versions of XMB...

Maybe one day...

Upgrade fails "Fatal error: Not able to open..."

Am I missing something silly here, I uploaded the files installed and then tried to run the converstion and I get the following error after it passes all the pre-coversion steps. Fatal error: Not able to open ./../cache/data_global.php in /home2/pinyoure/public_html/temp/includes/acm/acm_file.php on...

XMB 1.9.1 > phpBB2 attachments & U2U problems

Hi I have used the XMB 1.6 convertor with reference to recommendations in this forum. I also added the new row in the u2u table as advised and put a '1' in the "user_level" column in the users table, for the administrator. Problems Image attachments are not transferred All the U2Us (in and outbox) e...
