CSS question

Hey guys, I have a forum that I am styling here: http://www.huntsources.com/forums. As you can see, I am moving the css class Navbar over to the left side. Here's my issue: I can't get the footer positioned properly. In Common.css, here's some of the relevant code I have either added and/or modified...

RC3 - Main Logo size is not being changed

Hey guys, I have uploaded another image to replace the default site_logo image that comes with RC3 package. The image has different dimensions than the default site_logo. I have tried doing what I know how to do - going in to edit the Imageset of the style, and selecting "No" to include dimensions. ...

Re: Registration CAPTCHA

I don't see how the COPPA has anything to do with this, but I tried it.... no good. When I was in there, however, I noticed there was another place to enable visual confirmation - I enabled that ... as well as kept everything enabled under "Visual Confirmation Settings". Still no good. HOWEVER, As Z...

Re: Registration CAPTCHA

Yes, everything's enabled. Just for kicks, I tried turning OFF GD "noise" to see if that would fix the problem... it did not.

Registration CAPTCHA

Hey guys,
phpBB 3.0 B5 isn't displaying the Captcha on registration. Any ideas why? I haven't fiddled with the code...perhaps I should try uploading files again.

Anyway, the server DOES have GD. I'm running PHP 4.4.6, and MySQL 5.x

3 Warning level messages in Admin Panel

This may be a bug with the new UTF-8 encoding... but I thought I'd post here before submitting a bug to see if it's possibly something else. I'm running PHPBB 3.0 beta 3 on a MySQL 5.0 / Apache 2.2.x / PHP 5.2.0 combination on my own personal laptop. I just installed everything, and get it working. ...

Spammers

Hey guys, Does anyone else seem to have a ridiculous amount of spammers who sign up to your forum just to add a website to their profile? I mean, I've done everything I can do just short of shutting down my forums completely to try and curb the amount of bots who sign up on my forum and add a websit...

Additional anti-spam measures

Hey guys, One of my very in-active forums is getting hit with lots of spammers - who I'm pretty sure are bots. As there is not a way for me to view IP addresses that a user had on registration, there's not a way for me to figure that out and then ban the IP addy. So, where is what I've come up with....

required database fields for registration

Hey guys, I'm building my own stand-alone registration script, and I think I'm about done. What I want to know is, what are the columns in the database that MUST be given a value? Here's what I've got so far: user_id, username, user_regdate, user_password & user_email. Does anything else need to be ...

I'm also doing a style.... I'll be releasing it very soon after the final phpbb 3.0 is released. (Hopefully, whenever that is)

To change the logo, just save the pic that you want in the folder /styles/subSilver/imageset/sitelogo.gif. (You'll need to replace the current on in there). Be sure to make it the same size as the current logo. If you want your logo to be a different size, replace the .gif as explained above, then g...

So far, I've been very pleased. One thing that I'm VERY happy about is the implementation of sub-forums. The admin panel looks a lot nicer too, and the installation process is a cinch. We're not supposed to talk about mods yet on beta :-D, but seriously it looks like this code will make it even easi...

Actually, I'm doing the same thing right now. I started on it last night, and almost have it complete. The first step you mentioned was correct. however, you forgot 1 important thing: You need to edit the following files with the EXACT name that you have for the file where this new style is located:...

Well, technically, I don't think doping is drug related - but it's close enough. And it's sad that the sport of biking has to be tainted because of a scandal like this. It's one thing when Tour de France race officials suspect someone to be doping, and ask them to leave. It's quite another thing whe...
