Re: Avatar Gallery - Row and Column Ordering

I have several folders that range from 10 - 50 avatars. Do I need to keep the exact sizes for all folders (this isn't really an issue but its good to know)? As long as they're all the same size in each folder, they'll be alright. For example you could have 80x80 pixel Avatars in a 'General Avatars'...

Re: Avatar Gallery - Row and Column Ordering

You are correct though, not everybody has the skills to resize images, but there are plenty of online resources that will do this for free and in batches. Doing that would be a lot quicker than having to request an Extension that most likely nobody will create anyway, espcially when it's a simple f...

Re: Avatar Gallery - Row and Column Ordering

If you want to continue editing images ad infinitum that’s up to you and there’s nothing wrong with that. Not everybody has the skills, knowledge or time to do that and seeing as how modifying core code is no longer recommended (since 2007) in phpBB an extension would be the way to go. The OP asked...

Re: Avatar Gallery - Row and Column Ordering

Thanks paulie, that makes sense my avatars are all identical in width only. Is there a way to fix this through a source code modification? I remember in phpbb2 this wasn't a problem. I just made all the Avatars the same size to be honest! It seemed the easiest fix and it definitely worked. I don't ...

Re: Logging user IP's

by default your extension only logs the original registration IP. I wouldnt post that if I hadnt checked. I looked at someone who was logged in via the 'who is online' link and the IP was different to the one shown by your extension. I checked your extensions reported IP address and it was the user...

Re: Avatar Gallery - Row and Column Ordering

I had this exact same issue. It came down to the Avatar size - they all had to be identical in pixel size for the choices to appear neatly in line.

Re: How to vertically center 'Last Post' text in prosilver based style?

I just simply added: text-align: center; To line 191 of content.css I doubt this works: AFAIK text-align is for horizontal aligning see https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_text_text-align.asp vertical-align might do the trick see https://www.w3schools.com/cssref/pr_pos_vertical-align.asp It definit...

Re: Ignore a topic

Would your Extension also hide posts made by 'Foes' in Quotes too? Unlikely, but may be possible in the future... I would need to modify Ger's quoted where extension to provide the functionality first. I need to do this for editing anonymous posts in my other extension, so after I do that, and afte...

I'll be making an extension that essentially blocks/hides foes from the forum for users and I'll probably use this as a base.
Now this sounds VERY interesting.

One quick question if I may: Would your Extension also hide posts made by 'Foes' in Quotes too?

Re: 'Search Members Posts' Question

Posts can be re-assigned to other topics, thru merge or split - that way a post can still exist without its original topic. Each displayed search result also comes with both links to the post (unbound to its topic) and to the topic (unbound to the post). If either of them results in a "topic not fo...

Re: 'Search Members Posts' Question

But it shows the complete post made even on Topics that have been deleted. How can this be? You sure it isn't quoted? Search uses the same database tables as viewing a post does. Definitely isn't quoted, 100%. When you search Members posts that they made in topics that return as 'deleted' or "no lo...

Re: 'Search Members Posts' Question

Just append &ch=-1 to the URI, like this . Worked an absolute treat so thank you very much. I do however have a follow up question: Appending the search as you suggested works great, it shows the complete post made by that member. But it shows the complete post made even on Topics that have been de...

'Search Members Posts' Question

When you 'Search Members Posts' from their profile page, the results come back and show the first 100 or so characters form the posts they made in any particular topic. Is it possible to show more characters of the post they made or possibly even the full post itself with a file edit? Thanks in adva...
