Re: How often should you Resynchronize PhpBB forums?

All this is irrelevant to the topic but thanks for your concern. It is relevant, because some people will not help you if the copyright is not present on your board. It's irrelevant because I'm not looking for any help. I use the function as it is without issues. I'm only starting a discussion abou...

Re: How often should you Resynchronize PhpBB forums?

that style is by christian 2.0 I really doubt he would have left the phpbb copyright off. robert Probably removed by one of our developers. It's never been there for me since 2016 and we credit phpBB in our "who are we" section with a dofollow link anyway. All this is irrelevant to the topic but th...

Re: How often should you Resynchronize PhpBB forums?

I've only found any actual need to do so once - quite recently. Hyperlinks to posts that were returned from the search results page occasionally weren't hitting the correct page and so the post identified through searching was not displayed (you had to find it manually by going to the previous page...

How often should you Resynchronize PhpBB forums?

I've always wanted to know, how often should we be resynchronizing forums? :?
Personally, I've been making it a habit to resynchronize every week or two (especially after posts are deleted, topics moved etc).

How often do you guys resynchronize?

Re: use phpBB to start a Community?Still in 2020

Is a phpBB forum still the way to go to have people communicate, share and hopefully make a community grow? Thanks maiden Of course it is. Despite the rise of social media, forums are flourishing. People will always go to forums for information. It's reliable and you can find the info you need easi...

My one, forex-station, is 4 years old and grown from a tiny little forum to about half a million users per month now.

Re: 500 error when user tries to update notification prefercences

Dear community, since a while, I have the following issue in my phpbb installation. phpbb version : 3.2.8, no core modifications PHP_VERSION : 5.6.40 When the user tries to reach "MYSERVER.net/forum/ucp.php?i=ucp_notifications&mode=notification_options" page, the server delivers a 500error message....

Re: What is your opinon on dark styles?

Dark styles are good if done properly but honestly, every time I visit a dark forum it just doesn't seem as easy to navigate or as "clear" as a standard white one. It's a bit hard to explain but white is always the easiest to work with and the best.

Re: Why forum over Facebook?

From a phpBB forum I don't get daily, annoying friendship suggestions from persons or groupleaders I can't stand at all. Or people with whom one is offended  . I don't know why Facebook survived so long!? People don't seem to mind being spied on and robbed. Agreed. Facebook is annoying and...

Hello,

This Bot list is still being maintained?

Ecosia search engine seems to be missing.
I don't find any clue on it.
Same. Can't find a user agent for it. Any ideas?

Re: Smiley Was Ignored As No Emotion Was Entered

I just noticed the emotion box and tried entering text for a single Smiley. It has accepted it. What is this Emotion box for? Does it have any forum based functionality or? The emotion is just a mouseover text description for when someone placed their mouse pointer over the Smiley. It does nothing ...
