I would go into phpmyadmin and run a Repair on the tables. (SQL). Sounds like there is some Corruption and hopefully this will fix it.

repair table tablename

Do it for each one...you will get a message telling you OK when it is done. Good luck.

If you remove any other members, they will show as your #2's username in their posts. If you backed up your database shortly before he removed himself, you can restore that, but you'll lose any posts made since the copy was made. Yeah I didn't think of that. Unfortunately the backup is two weeks ol...

Restoring User

I run a board and my other Admin has decided to leave. Everything was fine until he thought he was doing me a favor and he deleted his account. The problem was he was the 2nd highest poster on the board. So now I all of his posts show as GUEST and he is not in the MEMBER LIST. I edited the LANG file...

Thanks for the response! It seems to be happening about once a month. We are on a dedicated server and have been with this host about 3 months. I fully manage this server. The server has never crashed so I can rule out power failures and things of that nature. I will have to check out the server to ...

Repair Tables

I find that I have to repair several tables often. (forums, posts, users). Not sure why....the board will crawl to a slow speed. It has about 700 users with 130,000 posts. After repair it runs fine. I can't find anything wrong with MYSQL. Anyone have a thought on what I should check next? Thanks!

It is a dedicated server. I manage it, so I assume they have not limited me.

Just didn't know what the setting was to bump it up.

I have a board that is 6 months old. It has about 125,000 posts and is really starting to pick up. Last night we hit our most online of 95. And have been averaging 50 - 60 most days. The problem is that thing are starting to slow down when we have that many people on. Last night we actually got a MY...
