Do I have to install the two mods that the changes speak of? Or will simply copying the files as indicated work fine?

Thanks again. Last question.

If my site is subdomain, and I only have access to FTP within my subdomain, will phpMyAdmin still find the necessary db?

Will it be able to find the db that I want to edit? What if my forum is at an address like "http://sub.domain.com/forums"?

Finding the MySQL database via FTP

I searched for this but didn't find anyone else having asked the question.

So, if I want to navigate to my database in FTP to edit the db directly, where might I find it.

OR

If I don't have access to the db via phpMyAdmin, how else can I edit it?
